My programme is also freezing up all the time. It is driving me crazy. I am close to having to renew my subscription and am getting very, very annoyed with this. Why update everything when it is all running OK? We don't want bells and whistles - just a tree programme that works.
I am having an issue with publishing my family tree from the Family Tree Builder to my online site. I've already done this successfully about 6 months ago however, this time it doesn't seem to work. Each time I click Publish in the FTB I get an error telling me that another user is managing this site and I do not have permission; however, that is not possible because I created the site and am currently the only member. When I click the icon "Visit Site" within the Publish menu in FTB it brings me to someone else's online site and not my own. Somehow I believe the FTB has been linked to someone else's site and I'm not sure how or how to fix it.

I have still not heard back any feedback or help regarding my issue above. I cannot get the Family Tree Builder to update my edits to my family site using the 'Publish' icon in the program.
I see you published your tree to your site a few days ago.
However, if you stil lhave trouble publishing, please make sure to use your registered MyHeritage.com email address and password to log in to Family Tree Builder. This will allow you to publish your family tree to family sites you’ve already created on MyHeritage.com.
To verify this, simply go to Publishing > My Sites. Here you can use the “Sign in as a different member” link to enter a different email address and password or just change your password.
I have a similar error claims the site isn't responding, I too have lodge a support request if you receive an answer to fix the problem could you post back here.
The only way I was able to finally publish from FTB was to delete the target site that somehow was being used in FTB and re-enter my original one. I only have one site that I've created and always used in the past so I'm very confused how FTB all of a sudden started to point to someone else's site - that's a little worrisome since I hope none of my private information has been posted to their site after I clicked publish. My workaround seemed to work for now but I still don't really know what happened so not sure how to avoid it again in the future.
I had a strange one am today - my tree has over 14,000 people. I closed the FTB at a certain person. The next time I open DTB, there was a close down error message and the database had to be rebuilt...well...I get this sometimes. I do recall that I used windows shutdown as I was in a hurry to go out. Well..the tree came back to the same person that I was last looking at...but now I had only 8,000 people.
Mucking around with FTB did not give me much joy...luckily I have a NAS with 2 version back up.s..so I re created my tree from this and got all 14,000 people back. The photos were just copied over from the last tree version folder..and they all matched up and loaded in - over 800 photos.
Took me over an hour to get back to where I was.
I think that using windows shutdown did the issue to FTB but it was all saved when it was left.
Hey - WHat the heck is going on........just njow..........I got a message that I have over 5,000 duplicates...the number of people was over 18,000 and after the processing> i edned up with less than 14,522 people.... And also there were no links between the people
I have been beavering away all day and have not had a crash / PC logf off.......so there is something really funny going on. I have lost work now....my NAS did not get the right catch........
I wish to get the old FTB version loaded and work off this thanks vm...........James M<
I did a restore and went back to the previous version.
I looked at my settings - the bacxkup was every 7 days...could not find any backup files at all other than the one I did Saturday pm.
Can not see how the user is at fault here

This is really weird..the website has over 23,000 people and yet my tree has over 14,000 people

I am sorry - but your post does not explain at all or even ask more questions over what the hell went wrong with the program......... Surely the point of having a forum is to give support.
I wound back the program to the last version and am working off this. I am not renewing my subscription to MH I am afraid............any hard queries seems to get very light on responses. Surely can someone at MH tell me why my onlines tree had 22,000 people when my home PC version was at 14,000 people???
I have deleted all of my trees from the web thanks...
PS..I have checked the box send me an email when someone replies but I never get emails - I see that you replied 14 days ago as well

As you decided not to publish your tree to the site, I cannot assist you regarding the difference between the numbers, as I cannot see what you have online.
Would be nice if MR folks were a lot more helfull....I am not happy with lack of interest for support.
Guess what I just downloaded the 6.0 version of the software - opened up my file...then it downloaded additional components (why does it do thjis...when I have the latest version fresh).....
I saved it and after a I got an error message - opened file again and hey - it broke all my relationships ie SAME AS HAPPENED before.
I then reloaded version 5.3 - no ISSUES
How about thinking of having a look at this issue which is repeatable
I am happy to send MR my files for someone to look at - why does the relationships all get broken when going up to a later versions - both later ones over 5.3,
Note that ym file is big..so maybe a FTP is best to do the upload.
After I list my relationshiops - I had to use my last good backup. I then went back one version.
After the email notyice of version 6 - I tried my luck with my current version...and back luck again.
The issue occurs with the same base file - note that I work on this each day. I am happy to send this file over - it has 14,000 people but 800 photos (so this is why the files will be large).
Note that when it happended the first time > i got a message that I had duplicates and it then processed them all by itself - I had no choice in the matter. Now..with version 6 - it did not even do this ie ask me or say so. The issue occurs after a shutdown - even with a normal shutdown, you may get a message upon re start that there was an error / issues with the last shutdown (when it shut down normally).
I do not know what when I loaded ver 6 that it was loading additional components - pls explain this...when I uploaded to the lastest version.
if you look at my prior post on this topic..it says what happened/when etc .
I am using ver 5.3 for now...but it keeps on coming up with the upgrade message on start up.
I am not longer sub to the > 200 on the tree - hence, my tree has been removed from the web..so you will not see it unless you have archives.

I am using the same data file - after I recovered from the second crash - lost a days work - this is still my working file which i used fore the ver 6 upgrade - I took a pre caution before I did the upgrade to ver 6 so after the repeat issue - I just moved the files over and went ahead with no issues

I successfully imported my family tree data into FTB, but none of the individuals (702!) are connected to each other, even though they were in my previous program (Roots Magic). How can I fix this?
