I´m in the same way as that man...I was working with the FTB from 3 days ago without any kind of error, and from the morning I was working at evening I couldn´t edit anything, also,I try to reinstall software but no changes in...all blocked.
If I try to edit anything, all options becomes blocked at all...but if I don´t try to edit members program leaves me to navigate throught it without problems, but if I try to edit...no error alert anywhere or messages...
I "fix" it...sometimes has passed after I post here...the way I fixed it all times it´s bugged I open new project (then could edit again) and after I return to open main project and then all works as ever...dunno why...thnks anyway!
I use(d) to publish the whole thing met the pictures on my primary family site, that is (was) no problem. But, in parallel with that, i also publish some branches (extracts) on different family sites to give separate access to the chosen family members. So, in that case i don't want to publish all the pictures twice. I know that i can manually choose which picture is being uploaded along with the albums, but it remains some problems: many people are common to different branches, and so on...
My second problem is that since version 4 (126.96.36.1996) i cannot publish any tree anymore... It always gives a C error without warning! I have then to copy my whole database on a computer with version 3.0. that can publish my tree (that's a chance!) , but it doesn't recognise the already published tree, or the pictures... So it begins from scratch and I override my "premium" capacity... I have first to delete the tree and picutres on MyHeritage, and re-publish all the pictures...
Third problem is for my "parallel" trees... I think you can choose that only the pictures with related people on the tree are to be publish... but it also publish ALL THE PICTURES that are NOT linked to any person... So I have had to manually delete about 100 pictures on the site, only to keep some... (i did this only once...)
That's the main reasons why I don't want to publish the complete pictures, and why i find the thumbnails more than sufficient.
So i return you the question: why isn't it possible to publish only the "faces" without the pictures?
On myheritage.com, the family tree view is correct. However, when I create a descendant chart (either online or using the Family Tree Builder software), a child's line comes from the spouse instead of from the line between the marriage. Attached are four charts (2 generated online and 2 from the software). As you can see, each child's line is coming from the non-familial spouse instead of coming from the marriage line.
Actually, you cannot do that online because I see that you have a Family Tree Builder tree that you published to the Web. What you'll need to do is fix the birthday in Family Tree Builder and publish a new version of the tree to your family site. That will fix the birthday details that are present online.
It sounds like a problem with your browser. You should try using a different browser (If internet explorer, then firefox and vice versa). You could also try to set you browser security to medium and not ultra high.
I hope this helps,
With other genealogy programs I could keep my family tree data file(s) on a USB flash-drive, and access/update them from programs installed on separate PCs (one at home, one at work). How do I do the same with FTB? Including pictures?
