Download the above exe file. Save in C: \program files\myheritage\bin and run it.
In essence what you are doing is saving new "TER15.DLL" and "TER16.DLL" files on top of the ones currently in your C: \program files\myheritage\bin folder. This should take care of the problem.
I inadvertantly added my great-nephew to my sister's family. He, of course is her grandson, but it looks like he is her son.
What can I do other than retype everything? TFrost88@hotmail.com
Can you clarify if you are referring to the Timebook (Events page) or the Family Book (Family Tree > Charts and Reports page)?
In either case, both show photos of your family members.
The Timebook is a multimedia compilation which includes mainly photos of your family.
The Family Book is a comprehensive report of your ancestors and descendants and includes personal photos for people in the tree (if you added a personal photo for that person).
The personal photo is the little thumbnail that shows up in the genealogy card for people in the tree.
The Family Book doesn't include documents. There is a full version of the program you can purchase here which does include documents if you're interested.
I have two questions related to to spouse and children relationships.
1) When I make a fan chart, is it possible to have no spouse listed for someone who has have a child? So at the same time I want that child to link directly to a single parent and have only 1 parent listed. Right now and 'Unknown' box appears for the other parent.
2) I want to list a child ask linked to the mother in a relationship. It is linked to the father, but the child is from another relationship. If I do have to add in that other relationship, I don't want to to appear on any charts.
I have just discovered a Great uncle who married in August 1888 in a Church of England ceremony, then there was a Mormon ceremony in September 1889. Both marriages are listed in the Victoria, Australia, Birth, Death & Marriage indexes. How can I show both marriages in FTB so that it would appear in the marriage details box on the persons' cards?
We build a large (450 ) tree (Immersive Family Tree) online, many with photos. The Family Tree Builder software finally arrived (snail mail!). It seemed like the software was a good way to manage the tree, so I exported the online immersive tree to a GEDCOM file, and imported it into Tree Builder. It opened just fine, including the photos. I then published it back to the website, and it created a new online tree. So, not wanting a duplicate tree, I deleted the original one.
I then realised – too late – that “site members” cannot amend online a tree published by Tree Builder, which is no good for us, as our tree is a collective effort. Perhaps there is a setting that allows this that I could not find on the site. I then started feeling insecure about whether changes made online would be synced in Tree Builder and visa versa. So decided to reinstate the original immersive tree and not use Tree Builder until I know more about it.
I then used the online import GEDCOM facility to import the same GEDCOM file I originally exported. It opened it fine but is now missing the photos. Disaster!
Why is this? Tree Builder imports the same GEDCOM file and it includes photos – why does the website not do the same? Am I missing a step?
If, so some reason, the online GEDCOM import function excludes photos, is it possible for you to UNDELETE the original immersive tree? My website is http://www.myheritage.com/site-5532222/wicht-hofmeyr-extended-family and the now sorely missed original tree had the name “Wicht/Hofmeyr et al”
Yes. Please. I am hoping there you can find a a way to import the gedcom file onto the site so that it INCLUDES the photos embedded in the gedcom file. The file starting with gtas... is the original one that I am hoping to fix. Let me know if I should send you the degcom file.
I published and have not deleted the others - yet - until we get the new one editable online. The one I want to retain is called "Wicht Hofmeyr and Family". I will eventually delete the other two.
Once it is made editable online, I presume I should NOT make changes using Tree Builder and republish, as this would presumably:
After we make the tree editable online you should discontinue using Family Tree Builder. You should only edit online after we make the change.
Just to clarify, the tree to make editable is "Wicht Hofmeyr and Family" with 416 people in it, not the "Wicht Hofmeyr and Extended Family 2" tree with 468 people in it. Is that correct?
