In Reports>Family statistics : Overview I have a number of "unknown" gender shown in the pie chart. I have checked all members and they are either male or female.
I suspect that if you have "unknown" gender it is likley because you have tagged some members as private. Not because the gender is labelled as unknown.
I would also suggest that the gender should be per the Family Tree Builder app and if all members are male and female then regardless of the fact a person may be marked as private the genders should be correct in the web reports.
In the builder app It may be worthwhile to consider additional gender 'types' such as Gay or Lesbian or Transvestite perhaps if you want to be strictly correct.
FYI "gay", "lesbian" (or homosexual) and "transvestite" are not gender types. The first two refer to sexual preferences and the third normally means a man dressing up as a woman.
The only '3rd choice' is hermaphodite or androgyne, referring to an individual who has both male and female characteristics.
If I made a pretty much full family tree (with all people and their husbands or wifes, children ond so on...), is it possible to make a chart without any spouses (no matters whether it is an ancestor or descendant chart), for ex. if my grandfather has 2 sons (they are both married) and I want to make a chart where is only me (including my brothers and sisters), my father (with his brother and his brothers children), my grandfather, his father and so on...
In the web view Photos and videos the options button (icon) bottom right of photo should have a delete option. I have view,copy, slideshow, rename, rotate right and rotate left BUT no delete option.
Is this a known Bug?
My view is that in the "Builder Application" you should be able to check a photo as private... that is the photo is not uploaded OR if the photo IS uploaded it is not available until checked as available to the home site members.
Once a photo is uploaded there is no way to remove it from the master collection or make it private to members.
Also in the web app you have the ability to "make album PUBLIC" that is show to all public users. You definitely need an option to make available to only the site members for that site otherwise all photos are "public"
You may further within a closed site want to make an album private to some but not all members of that site.
All photos rotate on the bottom view on the home page. Photos that are marked private should not rotate in that viewer.
I believe more work needs to go into privacy of media material.
To delete any photo or album from your site, go to the Photos & Videos > Find page on your site. Click on the Album to view it, and either click the Delete button or select a photo and then do so.
Hello,I have downloaded Family tree builder few days ago. It is great and much better than software that I used before and I think to purchase it.But, I have adjusted Family tree builder to Croatian language, and I started to enter my family tree (since 1525, and counts about few thousand persons) and I encountered a problem with a date (any date: birth, death…).When is on “Single date” I can’t enter April, June, July and October (on Croatian, of course). It automatically changes to next month. Sometimes when is on “Date in free text” also happens. That all happens when program is set on Croatian language, and when is set on English all works well.Please can anybody help?
Postavi default jezik engleski, upiši točne datume pa onda vrati na hrvatski. Provjereno, na taj način radi ispravno i datumi ostaju kako treba. Nadam se da je pomoglo.
Hvala na odgovoru. Radim tako i prije nego sam postavio pitanje, a postavio sam ga jer nekada zaboravim prilikom unosa na datume koji ne ostaju kako treba pa ih ne prebacim na način koji ste i vi opisali. Također, mislio sam uzeti Premium verziju, ali mi nema smisla kada ne funkcionira kako treba.
Prebacivati na engleski nije rješenje već teška improvizacija.. I onda kad drugi put ažuriraš podatak o toj osobi (neki događaj npr. ) može se opet datum promijeniti.
Ja sam problem prijavio prije gotovo godinu i pl, obećali da će ispraviti s novom verzijom (ver. 4) i nisu.. Vrlo neprofesionalno, jer ovo je vrsta greške koja bi se trenutačno trebala ispraviti.
Your development team corrected input of all the Croatian month names but one. It was a work around, they introduced new 4-letter short month names for June, July and October (i.e. June: Lipa instead of Lip, July: Srpa instead of just Srp and October: List instead of Lis). . It works fine, dates are correctly stored in the project, but it is not nice because now the short month name is not traditional Croatian short name (different than in MS standard) and dates are generally longer.
But the problem with April stil persists.. The long Croatian name for Aprils is 'Travanj' and short 'Tra'. But if I enter date with Tra word, the FTB thinks it is a plain texstual date and does not store it in the project as date but as a text.
If I anter the April's date with just numbers, or with "April", "Apr" or "Travanj" the FTB CONVERTS the digits for month or month name into word "BET" and treats it like a text. You cannot query by that date, you cannot sort records by the date etc.
Is there a chance that your development team reviews the bug?

We have received many requests to fix this issue and we are working to fix the problem. It is more likely that this fix will be included in the next version of our Family Tree Builder Program. I apologize for any inconvenience.

I have created my family tree in the Family Tree Builder (I think that's the name of the program that I downloaded...it's not open right at the moment). I uploaded the tree and there are several branches that need help. Of course, the people on those branches can email me the information that goes there, but it would be so much easier if they could add their own people. Is that possible?
I have the free version for now...will likely upgrade to Premium in a month or so.
