I have the same problem in Spanish. My relatives don't speak English and don't understand the invitation. It appears that no matter the language used for invitations, allways it goes in English. MyHeritage don't still have a multiple language for this topic. I suggest to MyHeritage to make an easy adition in the program allowing users to write their own text on a simple window during the invitation process.
I have similar problem, but I am working in program in Czech, it is publishing in Czech and family website is in Czech. But part of family is in USA so they completely dont understand sites in Czech. Co how can I switch publishing site to different language?
Before you invite an American relative to become a member of your family site,
Switch the display language to English. You can do this by clicking on the little flag at the bottom of the page.
Now go to the Invite More Family page, and send out the invitation.
The invitee will receive the invitation email in English, and will see the site in English display when he logs in.
Another thing you can do is input names into FTB in two languages, and then have both transcripts published to the site. Note that you will need to translate all your tree (or most of it) for this feature to work.
I have put my parents wedding photos back, but still when trying to edit it - it disappears? I don't try and edit them anymore because I know they'll disappear. For now I'm adding 1 photo at a time so that I can put all the details (Place & date) at the same time.
Adding multiple photos at the same time does not allow for the Date and Place to be added.
I've tried everything, but I still can't edit some albums e.g. "Kara & Makda" - if you need an example.
Re: The photo that was jumping around? I deleted the entire album and recreated it, it worked - very annoying :-(
Thanks for all your assistance - much appreciated.
I have tried numerous times to upload from Family Tree Builder, but none of my pictures are transfering. Also, I cannot figure out how to connect a picture to an ancestor through my site. I really like this site, but it is not too user friendly. Thanks for your help.
Associating photos should be done in Family Tree Builder. If you would like to associate a photo to an individual in the tree, then add the photo and click on the Associations tab in the Edit photo screen.
Regarding photos not showing up after publishing - do you receive any error messages?
In Family Tree Builder go to Tools -> Publishing Settings. If you look in the "Content to Publish" screen, do you see "Family Tree Photos" listed?
On your family site, do you see any of the photos that were meant to be published or nothing at all? If you click on the Albums button on the top row of buttons on your family site, are there any family tree albums displayed?
Last year, it was not possible to edit the information associated with photos that were uploaded to an online tree uploaded from Family Tree Builder. Has that option been added recently. I would very much like to be able to go back and forth between the online myheritage.com version of the tree and the local one in Family Tree Builder.
Thanks for any updated information you can provide.
Still having a problem with the Album section on Family Pages: 1) Photos are still jumping around between albums, 2) the cover-pics of albums on thumbnail view is not consistant, 3) On thumbnail view: Automatic Individual albums are created randomly and these albums are not available on the list view.
I'm receiving complaints from my members (I've experienced it too) that my 'Family Pages' is very slow and difficult to browse (I have a Gold account).
Calendar Alerts: Not all events are reflected in the email sent. e.g. I had 2 persons birthdays on 13 October but the alert reflected only 1.
