For most of the past two days I have been unable to add any new people into my family tree. I have succesfully added pictures to cards that I already made but when trying to add another family member I get a red X at the bottom right hand corner. The site lets me enter in the info, but it's all gone the next time I log on.
I understand that a year ago there was no option for deleting a smart match. I'm wondering if there has been an upgrade for this since then?
I made the mistake of merging two smart matches and now I am unable to edit either of the people involved. I can't even delete them and start over. Any suggestions for dealing with this would be very much appreciated.
I have been using the app and site for awhile now. Overall, I like the application. It is easy to use and usually works as intended, looks nice, etc.
The website is a bit slow... Slow enough that I rarely load it. And I liked the old format (with the menu on the left) better.
The biggest problem with adoption is that I have many people on various parts of the tree that have a lot of information that I don't. Currently I have to manually enter it all. I can't ship the GEDCOM to them and have them be the sole editor for awhile. The only way this program and site will ever be useful long term is if the various family members can easily update their own portion of the tree WHILE other people are editing other (or the same) parts of the tree. Without that functionality, they all have turned to other sites instead - even after having them login here.
