One of the members of my myheritage.com family site "Out of the Past" is unable to log in. She enters her password and the next page that comes up is completely white. She is the only member of my site that receieves this error. She has sent password requests and yes, her password is right. I told her to make sure she was typing it as wrtten because I am not sure if it is case sensitive and she is still unable to access the site. This has been going on for well over a month now. Being older, she is very computer nervous and timid about asking for herself.
Is there anything I can tell her to do to remedy the situation and allow her access?
Hello, in my experience one of the easiest things to do is go to the Address Book (member list) and find the link that says "Re-invite". I believe this will send an email with instructions to log in. If that doesn't help then you could suggest using Windows Remote Assistance to help guide her through the steps.
I wrote an extensive front page message about the families I am researching -- it's all gone! Where is it please? Unfortunately I didn't save it anywhere else, so is it gone for good, or is somewhere on my site?

1) I added parents to children who already exist on my list in my tree. Now, I need to link them. I don't need to ADD children to the parents because they are asking for NEW children. I have them listed, but I need to LINK them to the parents that I just added. Anny sugestions?
2) I would like to know if there is a way to invite members and have some be able to edit my tree and others NOT be able to edit the tree. Is there a way to do that? My tree is marked private now. THanks, Terry
Are you working in the Heritage Family Tree? I have a gedcom tree in Heritage and when I want to add a parent, I click on the child's Person box and then on where it says add a parent. Or I look above the child's little floating box and there should be blank boxes which say, "add parent."
I, too, am having this same problem. I 'published' my file to the website from my Heritage Family Tree Builder software; not GEDCOM. I later decided to add a living child so I published again to catch this update. Now that living child is showing on my website but not linked to his parents. I have right clicked above the child picture and either of his parents and all I get are options such as 'zoom', etc. No add child or add parent. I have no little floating box saying to add parent.
I've even tried publishing it again thinking it would catch it the second time around but no luck.
Any answers will help. I am using a 'free' version of the website. Am I supposed to upgrade in some way to make this work?
Thanks for your reply. The problem is that I need to link people that are already on the tree that the GEDCOM file didn't link when I imjported it. I don't need to add the parents. They are already on my list of individuals. If I hit child's ADD button, it adds a new father and a new mother. I already have the mother and the father in the list, so I don't need duplicates. But, they are not LINKED. I bet I have to go and delete my tree and try to import the GEDCOM over again. I can't see any other way. Thanks for your help anyway.. :))
Hey, thanks for your response. However, you are not specific enough. Where? I went to the Person View, I right clicked, and there is no Link whatsoever. It says Zoom and PRINT and ADOBE FLASH player, but nothing about any links. I went to the family view. No links. Give me specific info about where I'm supposed to be right clicking. The info is from a GEDCOM file. Does that matter? Thanks, Terry
Hi Terry,1.In the Immersive family tree on your site, we still don’t have the capability you are looking for. In MyHeritage jargon, that feature is called Attach. I am guessing that you want to show children with their step or adoptive parents, yes? We are doing some improvements to the Immersive family tree and will be adding that functionality. In the meantime, the best thing to do is to add a fact on each person’s genealogy card which tells of the relationship.2.Allowing certain members access to edit the tree is also something that we will be adding in the future. Currently, you can either allow members to post content all over the site or not. There is no way to choose specific members other than to deny all members the ability to post all content and then promote the people you want to allow posting ability to Webmaster status.
Hello, linking an existing relative on the online tree is still impossible. This feature is a "must be" category. Relatives are married to each other. Since it's been already 3 years since the first request was published it should already be added by now. The building of an online tree is impossible without it. I'm already stuck. I have few cases that I can't fix. Doing it in a family tree is not an option since all the photos had to be taged again and again, every time I made the changes. Please hurry up!!!
Thanks for your answer, but I couldn't wait for a reply. I had to delete my tree and start all over again in order to make the changes that I wanted. When you said that you were guessing that I was adding step or adopted children. No. I explained the problem in my query: When I downloaded my Gedcom , it didn't pick up the top two ancestors. So, I added them. No problem. However, their children were on the tree already with NO link to the parents and vice versa. All I needed to do was LINK them.
Anyway, the problem is resolved although it took a few hours to redo since I had added some material not in the original GEDCOM. Linking seems a relatively easy thing to do so maybe Heritage can look into that in the future.
In brazilian culture, marriages among relatives is very normal. Therefore, the attach feature is essential to build a large collaborative Immersive Family Tree. Please, when the attach feature will be available in Immersive Family Tree?
IOK I see my name - but nobody else names, it is impossible til se the names of all my relatives, I only see the day of birth - or death - no names. I don`t understand, at the myheritage program at myt computer everything is OK, I have tryed to log out and in again at myheritage.com without any help
