You must inform yourself first of the linguistic and cultural practices of the person's culture of origin. For example, rocket builder Werner should be entered with a last name of "Von Braun"; but composer Ludwig with a last name of "Beethoven".
If you are using our mobile app for Android (for smartphones and tablets such as Samsung ones), then there is not a way at the moment to centre a photo so that the face of the person appears on the correct centred part of the profile picture.

I'm having a problem where I'm generating charts but the results are overlapping. I'm attaching an example to this post, and in several places boxes from one person are put on top of other boxes, making it virtually unreadable. "Conrad Walz" and "Johann Valentin Rauchalles" are two examples towards the top of this chart.
I believe this is a bug with the website, as it happens with multiple charts of different people, and with different styles of charts as well.
Three months ago I sent a message to support about what happened to all my News Articles and Message Forums--I had a LOT of archived material and IT IS NOW GONE, AS WELL AS THE MENU ITEMS UNDER Apps for Articles and Message Forums.
What happened to these? This is outrageous. To take away those major feature AND THE DATA--I have 11 sites and will have to send a mass email to all members of THIS HORRENDOUS LOSS OF DATA. You didn't even bother to notify us so we could save the data.
iT WILL take me a while, but need to dismantlle all sites and find somethng somewhere else.
I hope there is a reasonable explanation!
ALSO the Apps Menu Item for LINKS is gone so cannot access links that were added!
Thank you for your help and you seem correct. I think we can access the content, BUT I cannot post new articles--it let's me attempt and then click Save, but the new articles does not show up in the list of Articles. And no where to add MyPages anywhere.
My son is a Senior web programmer--maybe he can offer to help them.
Different users have different menus? That is strange.

Hello, I too have just discovered the missing/moved features opf our myheritage.com site "Message Boards" and "Links" which used to be under "Apps" along the main upper menu.
Thanks to this thread & Pat's info I too have found them under: Family Tree -> Manage Trees -> then under "Additional Family Pages" down the bottom.
My menu there is:
I've successfully accessed, browsed, edited & added some new content to both my Message Boards & Links just now, thankfully.
However, it's very annoying this change occurred without any apparent official advice from MyHeritage.com.
Such poor service will certainly discourage me & other members from renewing any membership, and I'll certainly consider not renewing, delting and changing to some other online service if they actually removethe Message Boards & Links features of our sites.
I too will submit a support message querying such.
I did receive a phone call from MyHeritage (still no email) and I think they are considering dropping some or all of these features that were moved from the Apps menu. They said there is a glitch with a new web management system. My son is a Senior Web programmer and he is not so sure they cannot fix it to put those items back under the APPS tab.
So I am thinking they are hiding them so they are not used and therefore rationale for disabling some or all.
I hope not.
If so, I told them they need to give us considerable notice and way to download and save the postings we have made over the many years.

How do your partically manage many trees? Main tree 5K people Family only want to see their branch, which is easier to work on and it is easier to relate to your family, not your cousin's family. Family of one branch ok if their members see info of living, but not not others. No way to give permission to see only their part, so I made many smaller tree, which is great for collaberative family history work. Is is not ok for tree management. I have now have a growing number of smaller trees/branches to maintain. How do I tie small tree updates to the bigger main tree, which only I use because it is my tree vs my cousin's tree. Idea? Thanks.
