I am having difficulty syncing my project to the web site. If it turn on all people in the sinc setting the project up loads to the site but it does not give me an indication from the site that the project sync is completed yet it is present on my home page. If i change the sync setting on my computer to all people all photos the up load is 1500.00 Mbs anit it gets to 69% and get stuck with no change to the site. These problems all seemed to begin when I opted to purchase the on line back up . I was given a date one month from purchase as my next back up date. I have been in contact with support via email 3 times with no answer. My tree contains 43000 persons with 3000 photos . I am a premium plus Member and have been for several years. This is frustrating and worrying . any assistance you be appreicated as i cant figure out if it is my end the upload as nothing seem apparent. or if it is a commumication problem with my heritage server. still stuck on 69% 5 hours later ................
After recent MH update I noticed that several photos previously connected to life events of persons in my family tree went missing. As I keep the track of the uploaded photos separately in my offline file, I am sure that the photos were definitely uploaded to MH site. Now I have to check one person after another and reupload missing photos again. It is extremely annoying. Why is it happening?
One example: http://www.myheritage.cz/site-family-tree-228792391/ostatkovihajkovi?rootIndivudalID=1503810&familyTreeID=1#!profile-1503813-events - photo connected to the death of this person was uploaded on Apr 09, now it is missing.
I like the new colour scheme and the new look. It is a nice, clean look - thank you.
It would have been nicer if the front page (and other pages) allowed a wider display in keeping with newer technology. 1024 wide screens are very old technolgy now.
My other big wish is that My Heritage would improve the "History" side our genealogy sites by making it much easier to see when a "Biography" has been added and easier to view and read the biography. People who view my site in "tree" mode (most of the visitors) have no idea that Biographies exist because there is no easy way to find them.
Hopping into "Profile" view for every person just to see if there is a biography is a very tedious way to use the site. There is not a biography for everyone on the site, so hopping in to profile mode is very hit and miss, and tedious - and so, most people don't bother. The pity is that all the interesting history and stories are not accessible without reading the profile biography.
You have done great work helping people with pedigree/ancestory side of genealogy. It would be great if you could help improve access to the history side of genealogy as well. A better way to record your family history - it could be something that distinguished MyHeritage from other genealogy sites.
Keep up the good work. Maybe these couple of ideas might make it to the next upgrade. :)
I have been a premium plus subscriber to MH practically since its inception. There were some things I wanted to do that were not embedded functions in the program. Not willing to wait for fixes, I created my own work-arounds that are still effective, though they do require some extra work.
1) My family history, all 14 chapters of it consisting of almost 1000 pages with pictures galore, is uploaded on the site in two places: as attachments to articles and in its own virtual album as PDF documents, one for each chapter.
2) Finding a direct ancestor in a family of 12 children a few centuries ago is a challenge. For this reason I CAPITALIZE the given names of direct ancestors, e.g. PHILIPPE GUSTAVE HENRI GHISLAIN de Vicq de Cumptich (he has 7 siblings). This does NOT affect smart or record matches.
3) All folks in the tree with a biographical note have their name between asterisks thus: *HUYBERTUS Horst*; *Henry Donald Mac Gillavry*. This does NOT affect smart or record matching.
Items 2 & 3 do impede wholesale import of other trees, but after a few disastrous experiences, I don't do that anyway, but copy manually after carefully researching each entry. I have learned from bitter experience to not allow anyone but myself to mess with my tree.
The relationship calculator seems to be disabled on-line, but still works fine in FTB.
Since all of the family tree except living persons and most of the family history uploaded as article attachments are public, you are welcome to take a look if you are interested. The family history in its virtual album is accessible to site members only.
It would, of course, be extremely helpful if the program itself had a clickable symbol for direct ancestors and biographical notes., but that has never happened yet.
Sounds like you've done some wonderful work Ingrid. I know you and others have suggested/requested some improvements to the History side of MH. Mostly though all we get is the standard answer - "I've past it on". I'm not convinced the development team actually read the forum suggestions.

I simply stop syncing my site a few months ago. Now I edit online and download the whole site as a backup. If you edit online and in FTB and then sync you may end up loosing data, or pictures, or both. I certainly have.
Nearly twelve months ago now I first raised this problem and it is disappointing that nothing has been done to fix it.
This problem is with articles - see APPS menu Articles. If you add a News Article and use the "insert/edit link" button to create a hyperlink inside the article, then save the article, the hyperlink is corrupted.
Everytime the link will end up having characters added to the front of the link URL or to the end of the link URL, that will stop the link from working. My Heritage helpdesk has been able to reproduce the problem, so I know it is not just me.
It should be a very simple problem for a coder to fix and it is very disappointing that myHeritage have chosen to ignore the problem.
I wanted to use the news articles to tell family members about things that were happening here and there. I create the articles with links to HERE and THERE and the links don't work. It is frustrating and annoying.
We made a test account, give to him admin right and now we cannot lower or delete the account. The test account have still admin rights on admin list. We made this test account becouse there was a "hidden" value, what took a while to find and let other co-admins to edit, delete and add new members..
I am the first, who build this our family tree and can see the popup menu, where to lower this test account rights to normal. I get new popup windows and can press Yes button. Nothing happend and test account is there and have the full rights.
How on heck we can delete this account? We have got a verify e-mail where to press the family tree name or find grey X on the right side. Maybe english version of this web site is newer or different, but our localized version do not have this X button.
Each time I extract data from the FamilySearch site the dates are one day over, eg 9th May will convert to 10th May. It is only the day date that is faulty. I have sent screen shot some months ago, not on the forum, and have not heard back.
