How "soon"? I've uploaded a new tree weeks ago (the previous one was locked for online editing), and all I've got so far is: "Good news, you have 12 Smart Matches™."
I had thousands of matches on the previous version of the tree =|
Ever since i upgraded FTB to 7.0 and started using the sync feature, i notice that notifications of the updates made using the web client disappear, the moment i sycn the online updates with FTB 7.0.
For eg, when i upload a snap & tag ppl, the notification appears in the "Family News" section. After this , if i try n use the sync feature, the notification disappears from the web page. Same beaviour was observed when i added webpages to individual profiles using the the web client.
This becomes a problem as the family are not updated on the changes happening on the website.
This has been an on going problem for some time with V6.It is spasmodic, and only happens to some people-not the same ones all the time.I now have V7, and it is still occuring. So I have to add them again, and again, and then I end up with duplicates( or even more photos in some of the photo albums depending how many times I keep 'replacing' them.)
The strange thing is that they are not vanishing on FTB-only on the site, and I thought that now with V7 sync, any that vanish on site would automatically sync up to the site from FTB, but this doesnt happen',
Can anyone help, as MH are having a hard time of it.

My g.g.grandparents Philip Walter Veale & Eliza Jane Veale born Rowe Calstock/Cornwall came to Australia {Port Adelaide} early 1880s. They could not read or write, their name was recorded as Vale & never changed. I believe Philip's father was also Philip Walter Veale, Eliza Janes dad I believe was Thomas Rowe??? Hoping for help to confirm this & any prior relatives.
I've searched through the forums here and don't see a direct answer to this, except some possible discussion about similar issues from a few years ago.
An online MyHeritage tree a cousin created somehow has made my mother's parents also my father's parents. I noticed it and tried to disconnect the incorrect parent connection, but I do not see any way to detach them from my father. (I can edit the tree in other ways.)
I've looked at editing both my father's profile details and my grandfather's. Seems fundamental, yet I've tried every angle I could think of without success. (And I'm an IT professional!)
Recently I am unable to view my generated Family Charts which I download as pdf file or at best I can only view parts of them. All I see is the Chart background. Why does this happen
As we understand you are having troubles viewing a chart that you have created and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention.
There is a bug in the system that we are currently investigating and will hopefully have this fixed as soon as possible.
Having said that there is a work around for this should you wish to view your family chart.
You may click on the "View PDF" and then when the chart opens (blank of course) then you can copy the link from the upper part of the page and then open a different browser to the one you tried to view the chart with, for example: Google Chrome / Internet Explorer / Firefox.
You may also right click on the View PDF and then select "Save link as" and once this is downloaded click on it to open the PDF file.
You should also make sure that your PDF file reader software is up to date and you have the latest version as this sometimes can cause a problem.
I hope this has proven useful to you and should you require any further assistance then please let us know and we will be only too happy to help.
I used to be able to view my whole complete tree in one page. now I get small section at a time consisting of about 5 people. also all my dates are in U.S. format including the family reminders. don;t like it. disappointed with the site. no intention of upgrading
Thank you for writing and we appreciate your patience regarding this matter.
I understand that you have some sort of a difficulty with the new format of viewing the whole complete tree in one page? Would you be able to take a screenshot of this for me? This will help me forward the problem to our development team for debugging. To take a screenshot, press the Print Screen key on your keyboard; it is the key labeled as “PrintScreen” or "PrtSc". This will copy an image of the MyHeritage screen to your clipboard. Once you have done this, click the Windows Start button in the bottom left corner and run MSPaint. It should be under All programs > Accessories > Paint. Once it's open, click Paste from the Edit menu, or simply press CTRL-V. Now you can save the screenshot as an image file and attach that image to an email and send it to me.
Please let me know if you encounter difficulty in taking the screenshot.
I'm sorry, but the date display format in the site can't be changed manually, it is determined by the site's display language.
I have forwarded your request to our developers for future consideration.
When using the MODERN display to add, edit, and search my databases, the text I am keying is no longer being displayed as I am typing it in. The text does indeed get into the table and the change, add, or search work just fine, but the entry is simply not echoed to my screen. (So I'm editing blind). It happens in both my huge and my moderate databases, so it has nothing to do with the size. There is no problem with the CLASSIC display.
I have no idea whether this has been this way for a while or if it is a very recent happening, as I have not done any editing on my trees since last December.
Thank you for writing and we appreciate your patience regarding this matter.
I understand that you have some issues with your family tree and inputting data - as text is not visible on the screen when you type it. I would recommend following the next steps, after each step - check if it works out:
*check if it works, if not, follow to the next step and so on...
2) Choose a different browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and check if it works.
*check if it works, if not, follow to the next step and so on...
3) Take a screenshot:

Hi Dan -- I had totally forgotten submitting this problem, as I haven't been using the Modern Tree Display since then. I checked it out just now, and the problem no longer exists.
Actually, I think you diagnosed it correctly. Late last week, I got an automated message that an updated Flash Player was available, and I downloaded it at the time. I wasn't actually thinking of this problem, just a regular upgrade. By the way, I do use the Chrome browser.

I understand that you have some issues regarding how the tree is viewed for visitors. I understand that it might not be comfortable for you when trying to share with many people. However we intended that for visitors some information will not be allowed to be viewed - such as information for living people on your family tree.
This is because some people might use this information for malicious intent. We want to protect our users, and we can supply you with the option to invite members which will be allowed to view all the information on the family tree. Any visitor can ask for permission to access the site.
Also, this lets us protect the privacy of other living members on your family tree, as some family members may not wish to be published online for everyone to see (and be searchable by google).
Many thanks for this explanation, Daniel. It is all perfectly understandable and good that you limit access by default. (Wouldn't it be nice if Facebook did the same?)
Could I have the facility to allow full access to some of my visitors and not others on an individual basis? If so, how?
