Facebook have a relatives application which you can upload your GEDCOM onto and link it to you facebook profile and the profiles of any relatives on facebook
Hello web organisers. or users who have solved this problem
I am becoming frustrated quite seriously now because there does not seem to be a simple basic way or place to send an invite to members who you have smart matches with. I have managed to invite a couple of people but did this accidently and can not repeat the process.
Please explain and show me where and how this is done easily, quickly and reliably
If you would like to get in contact with someone with whom you have SmartMatches, the best way to do so is to use the Contact Webmaster link. You should see the link at the top of the list of matches for each particular family site.
Another option you can try is to view the person's site and then click on Address Book to view the profile of the webmaster. Here you can add a comment to their profile asking them to get in touch with you.
The webmaster will get an email to let him know there is a new comment on his/her profile so it's a good way to get someone's attention.
Thanks for replying. I have done that but I have also seen but can not find again a link which specifically says invite ## to join your site or ask ## if you can join their site.
For the past couple of days, whenever I try to publish an update, FTB hangs at 99% of the upload & won't finish. The website appears to have been updated though. What's going on?
The problem was caused by one particular web server which wasn't able to correctly compile a particular database needed in order to complete the publishing process.
If you continue to experience problems of this sort, please write immediately to support@myheritage.com and we will investigate.
We're looking into the matter right now. I'll be in touch when there is further news.
In the meantime, I'd like your help if I may. I sent you an email with instructions for creating logs in FTB (it has screenshots and is not easily posted here, hence the email).
Can you please follow the steps there and then send me the logs? With them, the web team will be able to see what's going on in the background and it should help us fix the problem sooner.
ould you be referring to the Facts section in the Person View that shows information about an individual on the left hand side of the screen when viewing the family tree?
Does the problem occur when you scroll through the facts? Did you try using the scrolling arrows rather than your mouse wheel?
If you can send a screenshot of the problem it will help me a lot to figure out how to help you.
The Custom Pages are currently unavailable but we will bring them back soon (hopefully within days). They will appear as an additional tab in the family site.
If you would like to delete a family site, write to support@myheritage.com.
The family site link MUST be included in the email. The link is the URL or the website address of your site. It looks something like this: lastname.myheritage.com
Please do not send the title of the site as there may be many sites with the same name. We will not be able to delete your site with the title or site name.
OK, now what's going on?? I tried going into the "Activities' folder/link and am told this: " The page you were trying to visit has been specified as off limits by the site Webmaster" .................. I am the site Webmaster aren't I? Or does this mean the Heritage team?
It appears that the slide show can only display 12 pix (at least that's how it is on my site). If more than 12 are selected, the slide show will indiscriminately(?) remove pix from the show to display only 12. Is this a bug or did you program it this way? Only allowing 12 pix in the slide show severely limits its usefulness.
