Thank you for deleting the albums. I checked and I am listed as the site manager, so I don't know what the problem was. I don't plan to make any more albums so I should not have the problem in the future. Thanks again.
I am also having similar problem I now have a family album a recent album and six separate duplicate smaller albums I want to delete them all with the exception of the Family Album so that I just have the one Big album. I have no delete button either showing. so any help appreciated.
i opened my saved Family Tree Builder project today, and all my photos that I have associated with people are not there. there is only that little camera icon in their places. the photo names are there but not the photos. the program will also NOT let me add new photos. well, it lets me add a new photo, but will not let me associate the photo with the person's personal photo. can anyone help.
Your photos are supposed to be stored in MyDocuments/MyHeritage/name of tree/photos folder.
Can you please check that your photos are still there?
If they are not there can it be that you accidently moved them to somewhere else? If that is that case then FTB will not know how to get to the photos anymore because the path it had, to know how to get to the photos is not right anymore.
So what you need to do is make sure that they are there and if they are not try moving them back there and check if you can see the photos now.
If your photos are still there and you still can not see your photos please let me know!
As for adding personal photos, if you do not have a personal photo for a person, go to the sign on the person's card which will guide you through adding a personal photo for the person.
If you have several photos for the person already on the tree and you want to set a picture as the person's personal photo go to the person's card and right click then choose: Photos>Manage Photos>choose the picture>Associations>Assoicate (and choose the person) and then check the box that says Personal photo.
yes, thanks. i didn't realize you had to keep the photos on your computer after they were "assigned". geeesh. well, back to the beginning. none in there. about 150 photos, some i do not know where they are :(

I go to manage tree and get 4 choices, click on # 2 and I get nowhere. Also no "publish" button on the tool bar. I'm ready to give up and find an easier site....karhlj@cox.net
Did the above but found no place to continue adding to my new tree. Also no button to "publish" this incomplete tree. As I said I also went to "manage tree" , I get 4 choices and then that's it. I'm ready to give up! I also downloaded your Builder again and get the same frustrating results....Thank you.
Let me explain to you why you are not able to edit your tree right now:
It stems from the difference between the types of trees that you could have online.
There are three different types of trees that you can have on a family site; a Web Tree that was made online, a tree that was imported to your family site using a GEDCOM file, or a tree that was made in Family Tree Builder, and published to your family site.
When you create a family tree in Family Tree Builder and publish it to your family site, you CANNOT edit the tree online.
If you built your tree in Family Tree Builder, each time you would like to make changes to your tree online, edit your tree in Family Tree Builder and then re-publish your family tree to your family site. This will update the previously published tree (with the same name) on your site.
If you would like to have a family tree you can edit online, please do the following:
Open your family tree in Family Tree Builder.
Go to File > Export GEDCOM.
Now go to your family site.
Click on Family Tree > Import GEDCOM.
Browse your computer to find the GEDCOM you just created.
Click upload and that’s it!
Now you have a family tree that you can work on online.
I'm posting this as a new topic in addition to asking it in a reply of someone else's same problem.
I'm using the Heritage Family Tree Builder software and have published my family tree to this website. I have now added a living child and consequently re-published my tree to capture this addition. My problem is I cannot link this child to his parents. I've tried right clicking each parent in hopes that the 'add child' option would appear. Not! I've also right clicked the child hoping I'd get an 'add parent' or 'link parent' option. All I get on right clicking is the option to 'zoom', etc. I do not get any boxes above this isolated child to do anything with him.
What do I need to do in order to link this child to its parent(s)?
When you publish a tree from Family Tree Builder (FTB) on Family Pages, the tree is published in FTB format which doesn't allow online edition. In order to edit a tree online, you need to publish it in GEDCOM format.
First, in Family Tree Builder, export the GEDCOM file to your computer in options File and Export GEDCOM. Then, in Family Pages, import the GEDCOM file from your computer in options Family tree and Import GEDCOM. Then, you'll be able to edit the imported family tree collaboratively online. Unfortunately, exporting and importing GEDCOM doesn't copy family tree photos from computer to family tree. Then, you'll need to add the photos online in Family Pages again.
Luri, are you sure your workaround is working as presented?
I tried your solution but it seems GEDCOM imports behave exactly as FTB imports on the web, i.e. none are possible to edit online. I still have to rely on editing offline and then publishing again. It's a pity as I need to make a few advanced relations and want to keep the nice feature of the Immersive tree where all members can assist and edit the tree together.
Thanks, Luri, for such a quick response. Now that I understand about the GEDCOM uploading and THEN being able to edit that, I'm well on my way. I didn't realize that you can't edit the FTB format. Unfortunately, it still didn't solve my problem with linking the child with his parents. I even re-linked him in my FTB file, but no change. He's obviously linked in the FTB file. I'll keep trying to re-do it in the FTB file and then upload again until I get it right.
Imagine, I got help from someone in Brasil. Isn't the internet amazing? This would not have happened 15 years ago.
Please, Is it possible to translate the "View full article" button from English to Portuguese, i.e., "Ver artigo integral"? We know it´s a challenge to maintain a software in many languages, but our good old relatives only speak Portuguese. Therefore, the English button mislead them.
