I am with a problem in my site:
My relation of relationship with the integrants of mine family tree is going out completely wrong
Ex: My daughter is appearing like cousin .. and so on
What is this ..? There is one week it was not so
grateful
My online only tree is working as expected, except one problem: One person, who is living and is marked as living, can be seen by the public. I'd like her private information to be hidden like all the other living people. Any suggestions?
I fixed the problem by deleting the entire tree, and reloading the gedcom from scratch.
I think the problem occurs when the person is loaded as "live" and you switch them to "dead" after the load. Their information changes except they still show as live unless you delete thow gedcom and correct it - then reload.
When i view my family tree like a guest i can't see all my family. It always show me "private". But when i login in then i can see all my members of the family tree.
This is a problem for all guest that are visiting my site.
Sorry, this is bad idea, publish ALL private items for ALL foreign guests. Many countries has strict laws about privacy, that need be observed, adhered. Leave it as is.
I don't think that is a bad idea.
In my case I have a web site that is connected with iframe tag on myheritage tree. And with this rule I can't use myheritage anymore.
Sorry, I disagree. Every access to sensitive personal data must be authenticated. Saving privacy of persons is at first place. I know, what I write: in near past I had very disgusting conflict about it with one family member....
I have a few members that are diligently making updates to their branches of the family tree, but I also would like to mirror those changes and additions to my offline database. The member homepage lists a few of their updates, but multiple ones end up reading as "member updated the details of 9 people in the family tree." While helpful in saving space, it is less than helpful when I'd like to know what was updated.
Is there a changelog listing longer and more specific that I can access to discover what was updated? And if there isn't, why not?
At this point in time, there is no way to see the exact changes that users make to your tree and site.
This is a request that we have recieved from other users, and we are considering for the future.
In the meantime, what you can do is to export a Gedcom file of the tree that has been edited on your site. You can do this by the instructions provided here in our FAQ.
I have also tried to delete the person several times and reinvited the person. But unfortunately with the same result. The mail sent directly from myHeritage to ingrid.egon@gmail.com does not arrive to GMAIL. The gmail account works if i sent an e-mail from my own client. That is why I was wondering if the mail are sent at all from myHeritage?
Did you possibly change the name of your project that you were publishing from Family Tree Builder?
Publishing your family tree to your family site from Family Tree Builder will replace the previously published tree, only with the same name, on your site.
Hi. I added my boyfriend to my family tree (online version), but the program just changes my last name automatically to his last name as if i'm married. At time of adding, I didn't clicl the married or divorced option. Can you please tell me how I can change this, so I appear with only my own last name. In my profile and in the family tree it is ok, because I used the option in the account. But he still appears as my husband and in the weekly emails to my family my name appears with my boyfriends last name. Thanks.
