I utilise MyHeritage to allow other members to provide information on extended branches of the tree, particularly as I am conducting a one-name study.
How do I detect and include their updates into my genealogy software? On the home page of the site I see messages like 'User updated 11 people on tree' - which 11 people?
Now, I use another program for tracking my family tree and have done for a significant number of years, so I do not want to use FTB as the only means of doing this.

Hi Andrew,
I've just shot technical support a question about this. I understand they're experiencing quite a backlog at the moment, but they will get back to you as soon as possible. If I find a solution before that, I'll post it here as and when I have it.
Just giving additional feedback. I agree 100% with Andrew. I have no way of determining what my 'members' are doing. I understand 'sync' is in future plans, but need some way to see what exactly is been done. Maybe even an export of the changes since last 'delta'?
Being able to see what additions, corrections and deletions that members have made would be very useful for several reasons (this was a great feature of dynastree/verwandt). First, to check the accuracy of the data; second, to ensure other members aren't entering/changing data that is incorrect or duplicating effort; and, third, to keep a chronology of changes.
Is it possible yet to associate documents other than photos with people in the tree, as you can in FTB? I saw a post that said you couldn't, almost a year ago. If not, is there anyway to link from a person in the tree, or the person's page to a particular album where their stuff might be stored?
I have a lot of scanned material to go with people in my tree- letters, stories about them, their memories, clippings, etc, The idea is that you should be able to click on them in the tree and then see all of the material available to learn about who they are/were.
Disconnecting that from the tree by requiring people to go into albums or run keyword searches is less than ideal.
We plan on adding this very soon, for documents as well as videos.
Many thank for your post, it helps us increase the priority of this action item.

On my new myheritage tree I accidentally entered two people as married when they are actually divorced, is there any way to change the marital status without entering an actual divorce date?
You edit your family tree directly online on your family site. This means that if you entered two people as married by accident, you will want to go to one of those people in your tree and delete the Marriage fact in the persons details (it will delete for both people).
I see that you only use an online tree, and have not installed our software Family Tree Builder. If you are working on your family tree in the modern view, you can press on the husband/wife's profile and press add. One of the options will be to add a partner and you can add a husband/wife. You can then add children to that also.
To add a divorce in your online tree: you can click on someone’s profile, and then the box of their information should pop up on the left-hand side of the screen. You can then press on add fact.
Once you do so, you can choose to enter a divorce, and you can add information about it.
Afterwards, you can press add again on one of the ex-spouse’s profile, and you can press 'add another spouse' to add a second husband/wife. To that, you can also add children. You can add as many spouses and children as you wish.
Looking for info on my father and my father in law. Father Jack Lee Brown Columbus Ohio, Father in law Orion Decalvin Kellar Cadiz Ohio ( He was also called fats Kellar , some one anyone please Help !!!!!!
This isn't a good way to find someone who knows these people (millions to one against). Hot matches may find something, but you also need to check out other sites e.g. Search Trees on http://www.genesreunited.com/contact.asp
It's usually easier to get info for older generations though.
I bit the bullet and transferred everything to webtree with photos to myheritage.com. (lots of work). I am now able to get others to contribute. Unfortunately the web version is not as feature rich.
Myheritage.com team... I sent email with no response yet. I want to create a family page. I enter all the information but no site is created. I need help. On the create a site page, there is no right side scroll bar. Should there be? I had this problem before and Esther sent me a link that had the "next" button at the bottom. Otherwise the entire bottom of the page is not available to me, and no scroll bar.
When I type in the site name I requested, I am re-directed to another site of which I am a member. What is happening? I'd like to import my GEDCOM and share with others very soon.
