I started my family tree online http://www.myheritage.com/site-16102071/czaplinski about 2 years ago, I have more then 1230 family members and 60 site members. Many of my site members were able to help me in building the tree by adding and additing information . Few days ago , trying different options, I accidently exported GEDCOM file and switched my family tree to one that only I can addit in FTB. I read, that I am able to import the GEDCOM file back online, but doing it I will loose all my pictures, and I dont want that to happen. Ther are about 1000 pictures and same amount people to tag, too many to do it manualy. I would like to go back to managing my family tree strictly online , like I have been doing it before. At this point I am affraid keep trying things on my own, so I won't loose everything I have worked so hard on. I would appreciate your help in this matter,
To go from the software to the websit without losing photos you can:
Publish your tree to your family site. If you want to continue working on the tree from your site, as opposed to from Family Tree Builder, then I can change the type of tree for you from a FTB tree to a WEB tree that is editable online for you and your members.
You are correct that exporting a Gedcom from Family Tree Builder and then reimporting the tree to your family site, will not include your photos.
I live in a country that is 18 hours ahead (GMT 12) of the USA. I receive my calendar alert emails at 7:30am but the messages in the email are 1 day out. e.g. It says there is a birthday today but it was actually yesterday! I guess the servers are in the USA so are using the US date/time to decide what to send and when.
Each recipient of the emails could be in a different time zone. The emails need to take into account the date/time of the person receiving the email. Maybe you need to look at the physical address of the person or have a field in their profile so that they can enter their date/time offset.
Then rather than sending the emails only once each day (presumable you do them at about midnight US time) you would need to run it each hour and send the emails for all recipients who just had a midnight. The same number of emails would be sent but they would be sent throughout the 24hour day and would have the correct date content.
It does not happen for every woman so I did some checking and it appears to be for woman who have got devorced. In this case it appears MyHeritage assumes the woman is now using her maiden name which is not correct unless she changes her name back legally. FTB shows the correct married name for these woman.
I made a mistake when inviting two of my brothers. Used wrong emailadress once and now one of my brothers are showing up with wrong name but right image in members page. Have tried to remove the person showing up incorrectly and the invite him again, but the error is the same.
