Sorry to hear you were counting on the relationship report! I understand that it's an important feature to you. I've contacted the developers and asked them put improving on the algorithm that calculates the relationships on the roadmap as soon as they can.
Hello, I have made a Adam and Eve family tree. I thought I could share : http://www.myheritage.lt/site-family-tree-185123992/site. Well, it's really big! Though I reached the free MyHeritage people 250 limit... Anyways enjoy the big tree I made! Edit - if something is bad.
thank you for asking. I wrote you an answer on e-mail you sent. There is not possible to export a GEDCOM file for members - only if you are webmaster in such site. You can ask the webmaster of the site you are member to promote you to webmaster and then it will be possible for you.
I created an online family tree and sent my husband an invite. He has added a lot of people to his branch but now he wants to do his own tree that is more extensive to his line. Is there a way he can add the listings from the branch he added to my tree or will he have to re-enter all of them again in his own tree?
Once again: Thank you so much for your suggestion! Personally I think that is agreat idea. I have forward it to our developers for further versions of the email feature of myheritage.com
Hello, I'm webmaster. I want to add a new article, but when I click at "Add new article" the error message "The page you were trying to visit has been specified as off limits by the Site manager" is displayed.
Pls help me, where I can correct settings for adding new articles. Thx.
I do not speak French sorry.
I am trying to find our ancestory from France.
My grandfather was from Douai.
His name was Auguste Jupin, who married a Violet May Salter born 1891.
I am the administrator of the Jupin-Cole family web site.
Do you have any idea how i would get further in my searching.
Many thanks
Richard Jupin
You can research your family history using the following methods:
1. Use our specialized genealogy search engine MyHeritage.com Research, found here: http://www.myheritage.com/research. It utilizes a unique approach: each search that you run there, will be applied on 1,500 different genealogy databases and websites (including MyHeritage.com) and you will receive consolidated results. Each search takes time but will save you months of manual searches.
2. Use the MyHeritage.com Smart Matches feature. This unique feature compares your family tree to the millions of other family trees on MyHeritage.com and discovers family trees that match (overlap) your tree. This is found in the Family Tree > Smart Matches page of your family site, or in the Family Tree Builder software. If you are using Family Tree Builder, be sure to publish your family tree first as this increases the quality and quantity of your Smart Matches.
3. Use the Smart Research feature in Family Tree Builder (Premium feature). It will research your entire family tree automatically in more than 100 of the world's best genealogy websites and databases.
4. Use FamilyLink and World Vital Records (requires additional subscription) to search several billion names within censuses & birth, marriage and death records. It also contains the web’s largest newspaper collection, with over 100 million newspapers dating from 1739 to the present day, 8,000 American high school, College and Military Yearbooks, as well as the world’s largest online index of Tombstone inscriptions and Tombstone photographs.
Family Link content is mainly based on records from USA, UK and Ireland, Canada and Australia. There is also content relevant to more than 50 additional countries, in smaller quantities. Since users who are not currently living in USA, UK and Ireland, Canada or Australia have ancestors who lived in those countries, FamilyLink records can be useful for almost all users worldwide.
Please can someone give me an answer and explain Why 112 year old lady in my Family Tree is not recognized as a living person by MyHeritage Family Tree builder? I havn't ticked the box where it asks if the person is deseased. The lady is born Jun 01 1899 and still very healthy and alive.
You've place your question in the wrong group. It belongs to the Family Tree Builder group.
Secondly. Why don't you show any evidence on your statement .
Thirdly
In Settings - Warnings - you are able to set the maximun age for a person (standard 110) without issuing a warning. If you gave the wrong answer on a warning your person could be marked as dead
No I haven't checked as Deceased, but the Family Tree Builder is doing it automatically. I'm removing the tick from deceased and saving it but later when I look at it it's back to deceased again by itself. Like you told me I've increased the standard age for a living person from 110 to 125 years.
I uploaded a revised larger family tree from a GEDCOM, and deleted the older tree. There were over 1000 SmartMatches on the older tree. That was over a week ago, and so far on the newer larger tree there are only 9 SmartMatches, and there should be about 1500. There has been 9 for several days now, so I'm thinking that it's finished doing it's SmartMatch thing. What happened? Where are the rest? Should I try uploading the tree again? Suggestions? Thanks. Ed.
Thank you for writing to us, and sorry about the delay.
Please note that each time that you publish your tree to the site the Smart Match calculation process is restarted. This means that if you publish your tree very frequently you may experience a large delay in receiving the new Matches.
I have now made a change in the database so that your site's Matches will be processed faster. Please wait 3 days without publishing a new version of your tree to the site, and you should receive Matches.
If this does not resolve the problem, please let me know.
I'm beginning to get soured on My Heritage. I ask a simple question (I contacted My Heritage with this same ?, as well as posting it on this forum,) and can't get an answer!!! Premimum member my @#$$#@! I think that I'll stick with Ancestry.com. It's a much classier operation, and the software is definitely better!
