Thanks for reporting this. We had a problem for a few hours related to the very fast pace in which collages were being saved. We fixed it, and added measures to prevent it from recurring. Please prepare and save your collage again, and enjoy.
Looks like you had a system issue before...is this the case now? i am always doing things incorrectly on my computer so not sure if its your site or me. I would love to be able to save it and post on myspace. Please let me know what i can to do to fix it. Thank you!
Hi Jenn, you're doing nothing incorrectly! We had a problem on the site for a few hours related to the very fast pace in which collages were being saved. We fixed it, and added measures to prevent it from recurring. Please prepare and save your collage again, and enjoy.
Thanks for reporting this. We had a problem related to the large number of collages being saved every second. We fixed it, and added measures to prevent it from recurring. Please prepare and save your collage again, and let us know if you encounter any additional problems. Enjoy.
This sounds like a glitch indeed in our detection of Flash. It's also possible that on your browser cookies or Javascript are disabled -- both need to be enabled for our site to work well. Hi,
When a member of MyHeritage cancels his or her account all contents of the account are deleted including any uploaded photos. That's why, when you re-joined, your previous photos were not there any more. Currently we are not saving photos uploaded to the face recognition demo except for temporary storage for 48 hours, in case users forward a link to their friends. As a result there is no photo album folder to make private. If you don't see your photos in your member profile, they were not saved so you need not be concerned about the privacy of those photos. Note, that if you save a collage, it will get saved and you will be able to access it from your member profile.
I ran into that problem as well...even after uploading 10 photos...all good quality, straight on shots. Just before giving up on it, I had an idea. I changed my hair slightly, took a picture of myself...and it worked.. You see, I normally let my bangs fall over one eye, so I guess that confused the system, since it couldn't find any one-eyed celebrities...lol.
Actually, there's no need to upload the same photo more than once. If at first it tells you that no faces were detected, it means your photo is not suitable for face recognition and you should best upload other photos, instead of trying to upload the same photo again and again. For best results, upload photos were the face or faces are large, frontal and straight. Face recognition doesn't work well on faces that feature a strong pose, angle or expression, or are small or not in focus. So mug shots work best
Please try with some other photos and let us know if you are still unsuccessful.
Okay, I might be being really n00b-y here, but how do you edit/delete photos from your celebrity Album? I'm really stuck. I can only figure out how to delete the entire album, and I don't want to do that.
Stuck. Why can't I find an edit key or something. going round in circles trying & have done 4 generations of possible 6 or 7 but now cannot access to add my father as mothers husband ??
I see you edit your family tree in Family Tree Builder. If you would like to make changes to your tree, you will want to open your tree in Family Tree Builder, make the changes and then republish them to your family site.
Thank you Jaiel. Not completely computor literate. Did not intend publishing family tree as yet, can I put it on hold and work away at it - to make sure all my information is correct first? Plus why do I appear to have two tree going? titles are in lower and upper case.
Visit your album by clicking on it in your member profile. Then you can visit individual photos in the album by clicking them, and click 'Delete' on the Actions box for each photo that you do not want to keep. You can also edit individual photos if you wish to enter more info about them. When you are viewing an album you can also click the Edit action on the album itself and modify its properties, for example, change its title or select a different-looking graphic frame for its photos.
After you save a collage in the Collage Wizard, the last page will announce that the collage has been saved successfully and it will give you a small portion of HTML code inside a text control. You should select all this code with your mouse and then press CTRL-C on the keyboard to copy it to the clipboard. Or, alternatively, you can click the link labeled "copy the HTML below" and the HTML code will be copied to the clipboard too.
Now, if you have a blog, you can post a new blog entry, go to the HTML editing tab and paste the HTML code there from the clipboard (for example, by pressing CTRL-V on the keyboard). You can do this multiple times in order to have different collages in the same blog entry. You can also edit the blog entry before saving it, to add any witty comments that will appear next to the collage.
Good luck, and please let us know if you need more assistance.
and upload your photo again, and generate a new collage. It will take a minute and then you'll be able to save it again and get the HTML code you want.
