Voit sitten muuttaa parisuhteen oikeanlaiseksi seuraavilla tavoilla:
1. Klikkaa kyseinen henkilö aktiiviseksi.
- Hänen tietonsa tulevat näytön vas. laitaan.
As you created your tree in the Family Tree Builder you will need to make all changes in the tree in the program as well, and not in the online site. If you would like me to convert your tree into a Web tree, that can be edited directly online, please let me know.
If you would like to continue working in the Family Tree Builder, please download the program:
And go to File > Restore project > Restore from online family site to restore your tree into the program.
Hi - was going to update the pc viewer to premium - and this option is available to me-
It adds a good bit to the price, and Im only interested in Ireland data - which is a bit hit and miss with
some of the other sate resources Im using.
"NEW: Historical Records Collection - one year access to huge data collection. Birth/marriage/death/census/newspapers/military/much more, covering 4 billion names in USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and 50 additional countries"
So could anyone tell me what exactly are the *Irish* data sets that are available in this addon?
(The data sets Im especially interested in having a peek at for Ireland are:
1851 Dublin City Census
Complete Catholic Registry, Directory 1837
Index of Irish Wills, 1484-1858
William Smith O’Brien Petition
as well as the usual birth records etc.
Is there any trial period? Day or so to have a browse before I buy??
It is World Vital Records at www.worldvitalrecords.com. I added it to my Premium memvership but haven't tried it out. I did have a membership there a few years ago and never used it, I found the search cumbersome. Having said that I thought I'd give it a try.
If you look on their website you can check on which datasets they have.
When I started my family tree, I decided I'd better use the International Standard Date and Time Notation to avoid problems with e.g. different spellings of the month names, different order of writing dates in different countries (in some countries they put the month first, in some the day, which cause confusion when the day is less than 13) etc.
Today I got a tip - someone had a relative in common with me. Very nice, I thought, and proceeded to check the match out. Everything looked OK, except the date, which was "the other way around", i.e. the month had become the day and vice versa. When I checked all my other entries, I found this had happened to ALL OF THEM! When the day was a higher number than 12, the site had simply thrown out the date altogether (the software probably saw an illegal date, and couldn't handle that...).
This is, to put it mildly, highly annoying! All my date entries are now messed up, and I have to do all my work over again.
Why the heck don't you use the International Standard? It would be SO SIMPLE to base everything on this, and then allow the user to see and enter the information in whichever format he/she is comfortable with.
Now my family tree is badly contaminated with dates that has reversed month/day settings. No wonder my research has been so hard.
You simply can't do this kind of transformation on the web without notifying the user. Not only is it a bad assumption to do that the user has got things wrong, the behavior is also inconsistent. Would you correct the names of our ancestors too without telling us?
One of the golden rules for web designers is supposed to be:
"Never assume everyone on the web lives where you live having your customs. "
So why don't you please let us all know the answer to Torbjörn's question?
I find it very peculiar that, when having edited several persons in a family, and finding just one person in the very beginning of the tree misplaced, I shall have to delete every one connected to him before deleting the "wrong" person.
There must be a possibilty to remake the program and make such a change possible.
