We have a known issue of corrupt Smart Matches pools, which cause this strange behaviour. Our development team will make improvements in our algorithm as soon as possible. In the meanwhile I apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you will be able to get good matches as well.
When I go to my hompage, it shows that I have 2 new smartmatches to review. When I go in to review them, under the Reynolds/Hurt/Sweitzer Web Site, it says that I have 16 smartmatches to review, but the page is blank. It has been that way for about four months now. It is getting very irritating to have to skip around over that site in order to review my other smart matches, which seem to have no problem posting. If a My Heritage problem solver reads this, would you please go into my site and correct this problem??? I'm using this path because the help tab will no longer pull up the form to file a complaint, it is hung up on "nano tech pending", or some similar message. Thank you! Charles Herndon.
I have a lot of matching trees with the same error. When going thru the smart matches By Person I sometimes get a list which should have i.e 12 persons but only show 11. To resolve this I confirm/reject all but one incorrect match and then select the reject all. Of course I will perhaps have made an incorrect rejection but it is probably a wrong match anyway. It is not always all matches in a tree that gives the problem. The list seems to stop listing after an error. So if the first match has an error the list will be empty.
In order to get to a solution, we have been trying to reproduce the bug you describe without success.
Please next time you see this problem, do not reject or confirm the matches. Instead send to me an email including the tree an the person that contain the match to my private address email@example.com so I can forward this to the technical department for a solution.
The person has uploaded another tree to their site. Each time they upload a new tree, the same info appears for you to check. Some have about fifty. Probably a lot of them don't even realize they're doing it.
Thanks, I'll know how next time this comes up. Also, Noam just replied to me about this on another stream. He said he checked my site and I was not causing any problems for anyone by saving my day's work, or by publishing occasionally, and that I had only one version of my tree on my site. You guys had me a little shaken up, thinking I was causing unintended problems for others. Glad to learn I'm not.
Now I am getting very tired of that part of the program as some call Smart Match. I'm about to be drowned in Smart Match, but whenI examine Smarts Match, it's 1 out of 200 matc hing suits. And I have the settings to the name should fit very strict.
Let me give the example, In my family tree I have the following person:
Now comes Smart Match and then tells me that now it has found a Smart Match, open and see if it really fits, and here is what the program tells me:
Birth: 21. January 1767.
Place of birth:Frederiksborg County.
Date of death: 2. October 1849.
Husband: Soeren Nielsen.
Daughter: Karen Soerensdatter.
Daughter: Marie Soerensdatter.
Son: Niels Sorensen. Matchquality:46%
When we now examine the above Match, so I do not see anything which would provide a Match, is there someone in this forum who can give me an explanation how you can affordto call this a Match. With what I've seen of the Match, then I decide not prepared to extend payment of the program, because you spend lot of time, with pure re-Match.
Eric, a name is what it is, and dosent matter where in the world you living, maby there can be some problems with the familyname, but in this case, there are nothing at all, that can give a match. And yes I know we have Æ (ae) Ø (oe) Å (aa) hire in Denmark, but if you are looking at my first read, you will see, in my familitree is there notting with æ, ø or å.
Please tell me where there the match is in this case:
Name: Gerda Kristine Dalsgaard Poulsen (Christiansen) (in my tree)
Name: Johanne Pederdatter ( in other tree)
Birth: 31. marts 1945 (in my tree)
Birth: 21. januay 1767 ( in other tree)
Place of birth: Unknown (in my tree)
Place of birth: Frederiksborg County (in other tree)
Alive: Yes (in my tree)
Alive: No (in other tree)
Date of death: No (in my tree)
Date of death: 2. October 1849 (in other tree)
Father: - (in my tree)
Father: Peter Nielsen (in other tree)
Husband: Christian Poulsen (in my tree)
Husband: Søren Nielsen (in other tree)
Daughter: Liza Poulsen (in my tree)
Daughter: Karen Sørensdatter (in other tree)
Daughter: Marie Sørensdatter (in other tree)
Son: Niels Sørensen (in other tree)

I have one photo which has about 17 faces I want to associate with tree people. I'm following the process as accurately as possible but when I go to the site, many of the names are correct, other have "click to name" and others have a double square round them.
Tried it several times but with no success. All the associations are appearing as "personal" photos in the tree.
