Thank you very much for responding to my query. My family tree was started in MyHeritage a few years ago, and although I make frequent Gedcoms for safety, I do not use, and have not used any other program for my tree. These codes appear in the notes section of individual in my tree. they look like the following; (actual copy)
If you can learn the code it may convey useful information, so deleting this may be counter-productive.
P.S. What is FTM? Family Tree Maker? That would be the product of a competitor to MyHeritage? You might more readily get the information from the product's own company. Or were you thinking of Family Tree Builder and got the initials wrong? G.
I want my site to be available to others through smart-mach etc. I also want others to be able to see and copy pictures of old relatives. It's only a few photos, like photos of people who still live, and photos of familymembers who resently past away young I would like to keep private. I don't mind people seeing them, but it's the part where they can copy them I would like to remove.
Do I get a letter or an email??? After I sent off my samples to Family Tree DNA I realized I didn't have a clue how my results would come in. Also, where in FTB is there an option to post DNA results? My main question still is: how do I get the results???
Thank you for writing to us, and sorry about the delay.
After ordering the kit, you should have received an email with the log in information to the Family Tree DNA site. You can see your results through their site by logging in and going to the type of test that you took.
You can add the information to the Family Tree Builder by double clicking on the person card > more > DNA markers.
I add Coat of Arms to my "older" persons. It is not ideal size but quite close. 600x750 will gives a small margin round the image and for me almost no editing. I have now played a bit with an image and 600x800 gives a margin of about 5 pixels. So if you have a photo in 3:4 propotions it would be OK.
