Seems that my posting is gone. I have now 3 trees on my web an I want to delete one of them as it is a duplicate. How do I do that. Only on ONE tree I see the option"Delete tree" but Not on the other two and it's on of the other trees I want to delete.
I have two projects "A" and "B".The problem is that the same member window opens irrespective of which project I select. The two projects are of different families.
I have my entire family in my family tree. Including the family of my wife. Is it possible to divide my tree so that my wife's family is in a seperate tree, along with photo's.???
I have version 6.0.0.5634 and after start program I get an pop-up with an runtime error. I have win 7/32 bit.

problem with smart matches are in re-install SW - whereall matchesrepeatedlyemerged asunconfirmed.I supposereinstallationdid not affect thedataon the websitewherethese matchesremained.
Thank you for the message. Once confirmed Smart Matches are remaining confirmed. Even you have reinstalled the software, it should not distroy anything. I even consulted it with head of support. Please let me explain something - as I think maybe you have some other issue as described above. As I checked you have no Premium version, and only Premium version allow to confirm or reject matches, so how the matches could be confirmed before without Premium?
I mean theconfirmationof complianceinthe program itself, rather thanthrough a webinterface. It isclear to methat the confirmationvia the webinterfaceis available inthe Premium version.I was hopingthat the confirmationof complianceinthe program itselfwill remainstoredinfiles on thehard-diskretained afterreinstallation, sincethese items are notsubject toreinstallation.
Thank you for the message. I am very sorry for the late response. And I am very sorry as I can not understand what you meant. Could you please give me more details of the problem?
after the collapsed SW on my computer with an error message, see above, I again reinstalled software and using the saved data backed up and restored family tree.In its own software (not through the website), I had defined and validated compliances using smartmatch- finding associations with other family trees. These complainces in own SW were unfortunately canceled after reinstallation. The whole problem, in my opinion, lies in the fact that the back up data does not save confirmed comlainces within its own software, but max clearly throughout the Webpages using premiuma ccount.
Hi, I personally believe that the information of the matches are stored online in the webversion of the tree so if you had used the functionality to restore the tree from what was online you should have been able to maintain the matching relations and the tree reappearing in the software as well.
I read the information that there where a "restore" function that took the online version of the tree that also could be used if you first started registering everything online and then wanted to start using the Familly Tree Builder.
Personally I am not using the FTB connected to the online tree as we are a number of persons updating the tree and that becomes impossible if it is connected to FTB.
I have joined your site to find my relations but when I put the relevant information into the search nothing is found, I spent over four hours searching my relations getting very frustrated when nothing came up, but when I put the same info into a search of the free 1911 census I find the information I want, can some one advise on why this happens or have I wasted my money by joining this site
The system of using married names is something that I have not witnessed before in over 30years of research. It is not only wrong but extremely confusing.
I have a living relative who was married several times previously (I discovered this from genealogy site research). She is a recently discovered distant realtive, and I had no idea that she hid the fact that she was previously married from family and friends. She has asked me to remove the marriages/divorces from the MyHeritage site.
How can I keep the marriages/divorces in my FTB software, but not have them published on the site? And I don't mean hiding the names of the previous husbands - but rather hiding the fact that she was ever previously married/divorced.
Can someone please tell me how to find out if I have duplicate entries in MY ONLINE tree. When there are duplicate entries how do i know which one to delete?
If none are obvious and you have a lot of people, the best way I've found is to download a copy of FTB and run the duplicate finder. If you find any, just fix them in the online tree. As far as which one to delete, I usually try to figure out which has the most people attached. Sometimes it's as easy as deleting one and then attaching all the children to the one remaining. Other times it's more difficult. If you're really lucky, you made the duplicate as an extra sibling which no attachements and you can just delete them without any trouble. I don't use FTB as a rule, but I have a copy downloaded that I use for this and other issues. It might help to open the tree in two different windows so you can see exactly what you are doing side-by-side.
