I am tired of trying to contact MyHeritage through all different forms e.g. email, Facebook, this site, etc. When I look through the forums there seems to be a lot of people who get their problems fixed within hours or a day or two. Why can't I get a reply via email???? I got the generic love-in email "as a premium customer your email will be dealt with as a matter of urgency" and nothing since !!!!!!!! MyHeritage was quite happy to take hundreds of dollars up front, and for what.....a product that does not work, and then ignore all requests for help. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I guess I will just have to write off this money and take it as a lesson learnt that MyHeritage is just another one of those overseas companies that cons money out of hardworking decent people
Only small idea - try labore with language(s) settings. Regarding FTB6 - if is name written in one lang, but no "translated" into second (other) lang, and then FTB6 switched into this other lang, names (me) appeared as unknown. If you use FTB7, i do not know how is it solved there, regarding to Unicode support currently introduced.
If nothing helps, the latest chance is, restore project from latest good backup.
thanks for your ideas, I did try the language idea through the tools bar but they are both set for English, so has made no difference.
I notice on my Family tree home page that when I get notices of birthdays etc I get the names on my home page, not sure which trees its pulling the information from as both of them have all 4536 names as UNKNOWN.........
Have tried to do a backup was sent a link from my heritage but I lost all my pics as well as the names.....
I have the same problem. 100% of the people on my tree are unknown,, but photos are there. I have tiredi me heritage support, for over 2 months but no resolution. i am willing to offer a reward to anyone who can solve this problem. Help.
I was wondering if anyone has ordered their family tree poster and delivered to an address in Ireland? I am wondering if I ordered one how long it would take to produce and deliver and I can't seem to find an answer on the site.
How do you remove the "Caption Bar"? As far as I am concerned it is a waste of space and of no value. It is too big and redundant. I would rather have more space for displaying the family tree and working area. How do I get rid of it?
Yes, I do have Ver 7 up and running. What is called the "Caption Bar" is so big, and shows the name of who is your main subject - why? I know who by having the person as the main box on the work table. The name is shown on the left side of the bar while you can have or shut off family pictures on the right side, but it appears there is no way to remove the bar all together.
Okay, that's present in V6.0 as well. Why indeed? It serves as a bit of a visual break, nothing more. The color changes (brown for Photos, green for Family Tree, etc.) but you can certainly tell where you are from what's in the workspace. If if disappeared, I doubt I'd miss it.
If that's the worst bug you've encountered, you've apparently been lucky.
There are other bugs, and I have written to them about them, but they do not listen. An example is when doing a doubles search some times in a listing one match will cover another, and the 30% ones bug me because it is only names being the same. With over 18,000 names going there will be many with the name such as John Smith as an example. But all in all I guess it is a good program even with it's faults. Once you get going with it you find it is easyer to use than others. That Caption Bar still bugs me. I would rather have more display space on the work table.
I sure wish that I read this forum before giving MH my money. I am so very disappointed in the search engine. It has not helped me what so ever. There is very little info for Canada except if you want Ontario. I want info for Newfoundland. I can't find anything. Ancestory.com has alot of info. I should of gave them my money instead. I want a refund. I feel totally rip-off.
