A GEDCOM file is a text file, that doesn’t include the actual photos but it may contain the links to the photos original location on your computer or family site.
When exporting GEDCOM file from the Family Tree Builder, the program suggests you to create a sub-folder and export the photos into it.
When importing a GEDCOM from MyHeritage.com site into the Family Tree Builder, the program will recognize the links and will download the photos to your computer and into the project.
Go to the tree, Put curson onto Home (on to bar) it will show several choices. click on Account site. then general then administration then delete good luck..
I went to "Family Tree" > then" Manage My Trees" > then" Delete".......If the Delete word "shows"!! Which it should as I have done this many times before ,But for some reason it's not showing an option to Delete with 2 of my trees right now so very frustrated.
Under Family Tree, there is an option "Manage Trees." This should show you each of your trees separately. Beside each of them you'll find under Actions the option to delete the tree.
This is strange. The button should be there. Are you sure that you are logged in? You have set your site preferences such that also guests can view the "Manage Tree" page, but of course, they would only be able to "view" your tree, not to "delete" it.
Hello everyone. i recently signed up to this website for the 7 day free trial. I have not found what i was looking for on this website and would therefore like to cancel my free trial subscription, as i don't wish to be billed for it.
I attempted to cancel it by clicking on "account" then "my purchases" and found an option to cancel, but it doesn't seem to have worked and is now offering me to upgrade?! - which i do not want. Also, i have not received an email to confirm any cancellation.
Please can someone help - i have contacted myheritage via email but have had no response at all. This website is really dodgy and i simply want out.
Your free trial was cancelled on Nov 20 2012. You will not be charged.
You might get prompted to upgrade when trying to access Premium features on your family site or trying to view paid collections in SuperSearch or Record Matches, due to the fact that you currently don't have a subscription.
Please fix your web-page - when i open www.myheritage.com page it is in russian. Why it is not in english? This have been told to moderators long time ago but without no result.
It is not account related issue, I think this is web-page programming issue trying to guess from which country you are from but I'm not living in a country where official language IS NOT russian.
Thanks for bringing this issue up. This has happened to other people before. You can easily change the display language of any MyHeritage site. At the top of the page, you will see the name of the website you are on, and to the right of it the current display language. If you click on that tag, you get a window with all languages supported by MyHeritage from which you can choose your desired language. Yet, this may be cumbersome if it concerns your own website. Further to the right, you have a tag called Account. It allows you to change the Site Settings. Under the General tag of the site settings, you'll find the default display language of your website, which you can set to English. This should hopefully do the trick.
Thanks for informaton, I knew all that before. Just want to bring up this issue again to be finally fixed. For me it's not problem to change language even it appears in cyrillic but it is annoying to do it every time. But if the newcomers are coming to www.myheritage.com site and it appears to be in greek / arabic / chinese / cyrillic etc I think they rather leaving the site than starting to investigate how to change site language.
I hope that now when the Geni.com is joining Myheritage.comthings will improve in support side also.

An alternative would be to install a virtual machine on your Mac that runs a Windows operating system. One of the administrators of my website has a Mac, and this is how he got around the problem.
Our Family Tree Builder software doesn't have a Mac version yet.
We've received many requests for this, so producing a Mac version is definitely in our plans. In the meantime, you can wait until we have a Mac version, or continue to grow your tree online.
A tree can be built online on MyHeritage.com, using a Mac. If you have a tree already and it has been published into your own family site on MyHeritage.com, we can, at your request, flip a switch so you'll be able to continue editing your tree online on your Mac, with a browser.
