I am new at this genealogy stuff, but I am enjoying learning about my family. I would like to change my tree name as well as my myheritage site address. Is this possible or do I have to delete and start all over?
To change the address of your site, after signing in in the site go to adiministration>General Settings where you will find the option to change the name of your site.
In order to change the name of a tree: If you have built your tree on Family Tree Builder then go back to FTB>Manage Trees>choose your tree>change name.
If you have built it online, go to Family Tree>Manage Trees>choose your tree>Edit where you will find the option to change the name of your tree.
When I first set up my heritage site, it showed up on the google search engine in English as well as every other language known to man!! Well now, It can't be found in English but still shows up in every other language. Is there something I need to do to rectify this or is this a technical support problem? It's not doing me alot of good to share this with my family and friends across the country unless they can read something other then English!
To delete a family tree from your family site, go to the Family Tree page and click on Manage Trees. Here you will find the option to delete a tree.
If you want to delete your family site, please send me the link to the website (go into your family website through MyHeritage (log in), and then copy the whole website in your address browser, and paste it directly into an email for me), and I will take care of it.
Someone PLEASE HELP!!! I cannot figure out what the problem is...
EVERYTIME I am on the www.MyHeritage.com web site I am unable to see my family tree. It WILL NOT upload. I ALWAYS get a message that says "Error Loading Family Tree, Refresh Browser and Try Again" I can refresh my browser a thousand times, and my tree won't upload!! When I am working on my family tree from my desktop, I am able to see everything. So why is it that once I connect to the site AND/OR I am checking for Smart Matches it WON'T LOAD?????????? I have tried installing Adobe Flash, with NO LUCK!!!!!
I would like to inform about the problem with conversion of dates. I work in the field of genealogy for many years, till now i was using Brother´s Keeper, when i decided to transfer all the data to MyHeritage, used the gedcom file from BK, MH took it and installed. It was data of cca 3,2 thousand people, thats why i couldnt check all the data. In some cases MH doesnt accept the citation of the sources, especially the pages or folia etc. But what is the bigger problem that in SOME cases the program changed the dates. For example my date of birth is 20th of December 1975, it keeps the form 20.dec.1975, which is ok. But in some other dates, for example 4th of July it transfered to 7th of April. There is but no rule in this, the data that are newer (i mean closer to present) are without change and are ok, but as further to the past , there are more mistakes. As most of people in my database are in years 1830 - 1920, most of that data are wrong at the moment. Tried to look in old database in BK, there is everything ok. And the Gedcom file that I tried to transfer into different genealogical programs, also there was everything ok.
Because i already put another amost 1000 personalities into my database and some of the data i´m not able to reach again, i cant afford to make whole process again and I´m afraid there is no other way today than to take person by person and compare to my old database in BK and all the mistakes to repair by hand. UUUUFFFF !!! Eize avoda kasha !!! :-)
From this point of view im very dissapointed of MH, unfortunately. Otherwise i find the program amazing, also the way how can i easy transfer data to my web-page. Just hope that You are able to fix somehow this kind of problems in MH that noone else coud complain about that in future. I wouldnt complain also, just that i found it incidentally....
Still i have one question, if there is a possibility in future to expand the box for data (pics etc.) ???
I would like to have Your answer as soon as possible.

i have same problem with date of births and the year they were born a lot of them have 2008 which is wrong.

More people? Photos? News articles? Anything else?
You can add more people to your tree from Family Tree Builder if that's what you have used initially to build your tree or directly from the site if that's what you have done.
You can also add pictures through FTB or the site.
If you can ask your question in more detail I would be more than happy to help you more accurately.
I found in another tree a member of my family. Is it possible to link both trees? Today, this commom member simply appears in one and other trees like diferent people.

I have a similar problem: a man maried to part of the family, and his sister maried another part of the same family: how can I link this brother & sister ?
Your tree should be located in MyDocuments/MyHeritage/name of the tree
but if you still cannot find it of course you can donwload it from the site.
Simply go to MyHeritage.com, log in, then Family Tree>Manage Trees where you will find a list of your trees with the option to download on the right hand side.
Once you have your tree on your computer you can import it in Family Tree Builder by going to File>Import Gedcom.
But unfortunately we still do not have the option of attachng the pictures with the tree, you will need to attach them again.
why everyone else has gotten to see my family tree but i can not see it on my end except from the builder part...no matter what i have tried ...i cannot see the tree at the site... but everyone i have invited has been able to see it :(
Can I please ask you to log out and log in again and see if you still have this problem?
