to check your calender events go to Administration>Calender to see if all the events that you want to see are checked. If they are checked and still you don't see them please write back in detail which events you checked and still don't get reminders for. I'll see if we can come oevr the problem.
not to duplicate the same event - happened after I updated birthday dates and published from a different computer for "Slovacek". I check the "calendar" section and it just has the one box to import all events and it does. What else do I need to look at?
I can't believe no one is complaining about the new photo album, maybe I'm missing something here. But there is no more view full size image? The one thats there is very small, not even worth it. And you can't download a single photo anymore? I had to download the whole album! I know the other album left a lot to be desired, but this one almost as bad. And come on, get the site colors fixed, I'm so tired of pink and blue!!
You can still perform all of the actions you have brought up!
Simply go to the Find tab in Albums, choose the album from which you want to download the photo and then cl'ck the photo. Here you will have the option to download the photo and view it in full size.
Hello, I have been trying to tab the people in my pictures but when I start to label the third person in a picture, internet explorer crashes. Any kind of help on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
I have this problem too. I tried using MSN Explorer instead, and it's a little better, but sometimes it crashes too. Sometimes I would just tag two people, save my changes, and then go into Edit again. Another thing that I found that helps is ... when you're typing the person's name, and a list of possibilities pops up, don't immediately click on the correct one as soon as you see it. Wait for the little clockwise-rotating arrow to finish what it's doing, and then carefully, slowly, and deliberately click on the center of the person's name to select it.
I have a situation where two sisters from one family married two brothers from another. I have already entered one line of the family but I can't figure out how to link the two families. I can't figure out how to add a wife that is already in the system as someone's sister? sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm very new!! I know that I was able to do this on another program I used awhile back!
I have the same problem, and it seems to be impossible on the website (it may be possible through the Family Tree Builder software, though, I'm not sure).
It is now 49 days since your comment about "being working with the problem" of brothers marrying sisters.
I have the same requirement. Please state when the SW upgrade is ready, so I can choose if this site is worthwhile or not, before spending too much efforts on it.

My statement of the problem = "When adding a relationship the online site software doesn't offer the choice to make the 'linked to' person someone already in the tree." Note the local on your pc software, FTB, does offer the choice!
I'm reluctant to spend the effort to try it (because it might just mess up my online tree completely) but one wonders what happens when you make these interrelated family trees locally then load that tree into an online site? If it just makes effectively the same person twice (or more?) then I'd have to wonder just how good myHeritage's GEDCOM compliance actually is?
If you'd like to remove your collage or Morph, you'll have to delete the HTML code.
The HTML code is usually displayed in the "About Me" or "My Interests" section of your profile.
What you need to do is go to "Edit Profile" and find one of the above categories. You'll recognize the HTML code for the collage/Morph because it has MyHeritage written in it somewhere.
What is important, is to delete ALL the code, but not to delete code from other things you've added to your profile.
What I suggest you do is to cut/paste the code to a word doc or something and then go back and view your profile to make sure you got the right code. That way you haven't deleted anything important by accident. And you can save your collage/Morph if you want to post it at a different time.
In the current version of Family Tree Builder, and also on the website right now you can only look at smart match suggestions, and compare your tree with other trees that were suggested to you.
There is also an option to contact the administrator of the other tree.
In future versions, there will be an option to merge details of profiles on the trees with other trees.
I've ran into a problem trying to change the name of a family member. Since my tree was created in FTB, I can't edit it in the website even though I have editing rights (reading around I understand it's a known bug).
When I edit the name in FTB and then publish it to the website, duplicates are created on the site.
If I export the website to gedcom and import it into FTB, duplicates are created in FTB.
Is there any way I can perform simple editing in a family tree I should have full access to?
When you change the name of your project in FTB, instead of over-writing your previously uploaded file, you will upload a completely new tree to your family site, thereby creating duplicates.
Importing a Gedcom file always creates a new family tree, which creates duplicates if you already had those individuals on your site.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, there is no way to consolidate duplicate individuals. We are working on that opion for the future. What you will have to do is manually delete extra trees, or individuals.

So in the case of my familiy tree that includes 200 members, everytime that I want to change anything in the tree (name change, weddings, births, deaths, etc.) I will have to manually delete 200 members??
I know this service is given for free and I greatly appreciate it, but this is completely unworkable. You have a wonderful site here, but it gives gives very limited capabilities even to the webmasters. You have a very comfortable and easy to use downloadable program, but if I use it, I get punished by never being able to edit my online tree again.

I believe that the source of your problem, of why you are not able to edit your tree right now stems from the difference between publishing a tree from FTB vs. importing a Gedcom file onto your family site:
When you take your family tree from FTB and publish it to your family site, you cannot edit the tree online. If you are looking to edit your family tree on your family site, then this is probably not your best option.
What you can do, is take your FTB family tree and export a Gedcom file:
You can then save the Gedcom file on your computer and you will then be able to go into your family site and importing the gedcom that you saved. In order to import a Gedcom on a family tree on the site, go into “MyFamily” under the top left and go into the second tab which is “Family Tree”. One of the options on the right will be “Import GEDCOM”. One important note: Photos will not be transferred with the gedcom file. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to import photos. They will have to be added again manually.
This is probably a better option for you, as you will be able to edit your tree that has been imported to the family site.
There is a big difference between the site and FTB because they each have different uses. FTB is downloadable software that can hold more information and can run faster because it runs on your computer itself. There are, however, tradeoffs to using it, such as, the inability to share your updates to the tree directly with other members online.

I did as you instructed, and now can edit my family tree online.
I'm still confused why the 'publish' option exists in FTB if it includes the critical drawback of not being able to edit the tree, but the option of export/import works very well.
Now if we could customize the page colors, or at least give us some kind of choice?
