The only way to save a morph in the future is to click on the "email this to your friends" option and to e-mail your morph to yourself.
We also have an automatic procedure that saves face recognitions results (collage, morph or look-alike meter) to many social networks, but sometimes there are errors beyond our control that prevent this from completing successfully.
That’s why we also provide a manual workaround for this, by giving you a short piece of HTML code that you can post yourself to your profile and/or blog. This is also a nice way to back up your results.
To take advantage of the manual workaround, please generate a collage, morph or look-alike meter again. Once you arrive at the posting phase of the collage or morph, you will note a tab at the bottom that says ‘Other’. Please click on this tab. Here you will see a text field that presents a bunch of HTML code. Please select all of this code and copy it. You can then paste it into your profile or blog post, which will result in publishing your collage or morph. The "Other" tab also gives directions on how to do this. When pasting the HTML code into your favorite social network, please be sure to be in HTML mode (in the profile, or in a blog editor), and not in the default text mode, otherwise other users might see the HTML code rather than the face recognition results themselves.
Please go into the Family Tree Builder. Go to the File menu and select Manage Projects. Here you will have a list of all projects. You will need to export the projects as a package. This will export the photos also.
If you have published your Family Tree project online, you should have a backup on your Family Site. Please follow these steps to backup the file:
First log into your Family Site, then go to Family Tree tab > Summary > download family tree. Once you have the file downloaded, open FTB and open the backup by go to File > Manage Projects > Add Project > select downloaded file. This should restore your project. Let me know if you have any troubles with this.
Can members edit information about individuals on a family tree for example birth and death dates, can they add people? can they overall edit the tree?. I have the privacy setting as Mixed. I would think this is possible but I am very new to this and am struggling to sort it out. Please inform me how and if they can without downloading the myfamilytree software and downloading the tree. Is it possible to do just online?
If you are a member of a site, then you have editing privileges for that particular site.
If you do not wish your members to edit your tree, then you can publish your tree from Family Tree Builder instead of creating it on your family site. This will prevent anyone (including yourself) from editing your tree online. In order to update your tree, you will then have to re-publish from your family site, and your tree will be replaced with the newly published one.
I recently published a new FTB family tree and was shocked to see that it is possible to edit the resulting website tree. My other published FTB family tree is, as you said, not possible to edit. Here is the URL of the new, flawed family tree. Can it be fixed?

I was using the downloaded version of My Heritage very nice to work with only I lost it when I got a new computer. I had over 1,000 family members on it and had just increased my membership. Is there a way to get it back? Do I download My Heritage and start over? I do not like the modern or classic versions at all they are not user friendly. Please respond back ASAP. I have not heard from the support personnel even though I have sent in fou request for help. Will there be another charge if I start over?
The best way to restore your family tree is to locate the original project file on your computer and load it. It will have a .ZED extension.
If you are sure that you no longer have it, nor have any copies of it, there is still hope for you… If you have published your family tree online, then there will be a backup on your family tree on your family site on MyHeritage. In that case, please follow these steps to recover the file:
Open a browser and log into your Family Site on MyHeritage.com, then go to the Family Tree tab > Summary page in your Family Site. Click the ‘Download’ link next to your family tree and this will save your family tree to your computer as a file with a .ZED extension. Once you have the file downloaded, open Family Tree Builder and click File > Open Project. Click ‘Browse’ and locate the .ZED file. This should restore your entire project, except for the photos.
Note: it’s better to be prepared next time for catastrophe. I advise that you frequently back up your family tree to removable media. The best way to back up your family tree is to use Family Tree Builder’s backup facility on File>Back up Project. It will save a single file, perfect for backup, that contains your family tree and all its photos and documents. Such a backup can later be restored using File>Restore Project.
To delete a photo in an album go into Photos > Find.
Then click on the album that you want to edit (delete a photo from). Then you will see a horizontal menu of options for the album, click on edit details, then on the ‘content’ tab.
There you will see a list of all the pictures in the album and you can press ‘remove’ to delete one of them.
One of the members can't view the family tree on her computer. Her screen says "Loading", but it also says "Done" in the lower left corner. It looks like the load function just gets stuck and never loads.
She has unblocked her pop-up blocker for this site, and she's tried to download Active X's newest version but for some reason it isn't working for her.
