I have been using myheritage.com for over a year now, and am amazed at the personal responses in a very quick manner. If it is not an urgent question or comment, I will post it in their message boards. If it is something I need answered urgently, I contact them directly (you will see "Haven't found an answer to your question? Contact us here." at the bottom of the Help page, as well as at the bottom of the Forums page.)
While there are many improvements that could be made, I find this to be a fairly user-friendly site, and also fairly inexpensive. I use ancestry.com for obtaining my documents, but I like myheritage.com for the "fun" aspect of a family tree.
When Adding a Partner, I'm given the Status options of "Married", "Divorced", "Engaged", and "None" to choose for the relationship type. After it's been initially created, I can't find a way to change it. When I Edit either of the two people, the Status option (relationship type) is not visible.
If someone gets divorced, I would have to delete them and recreate the entire structure around them again. I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere. Can someone tell me how to change a the relationship type of partners?
Hi, If you are working on your family tree in the modern view, you can press on the husband/wife's profile and press add. One of the options will be to add a partner and you can add a husband/wife. You can then add children to that also. To add a divorce (or othre facts as well), you can click on someone’s profile, and then the box of their information should pop up on the left-hand side of the screen. You can then press on add fact. Once you do so, you can choose to enter a divorce, and you can add information about it. Afterwards, you can press add again on one of the ex-spouse’s profile, and you can press 'add another spouse' to add a second husband/wife. To that, you can also add children. You can add as many spouses and children as you wish.
Please let me know if you have any more questions at esther@myheritage.com. Esther /MyHeritage Team

I don't know the answer but have a similar problem. I guess that you entered your grandmother and grandfather and his brother. Later you want to add the second marriage with a person (the brother) already existing in the tree. Right? And I cannot see that this software allows you to create a relation with an existing person in the tree. Catch 22...
My problem is two couples of brothers and sisters that married cross wise. One man to a woman, and this womans brother married the first mans sister.
I would say that the answer to our problems is the same, how to create a new connection/relation with an already existing person somewhere else in the tree???
hello please someone can help me
because I do not have the welcome message or presentation with slides and can not be erased or activate them as
thanks in advance
I have had invited relatives to become members. Are they the only ones twho can update their profiles? Some are listed as males but are females. Can I chnage this ? If so how???
I'm afraid they are the only one's that can update thier details. believe me I've tried. That's the beauty of sending an invite via the address book option or forgetting to mark them as 'mr., mrs or miss'
I am looking for a working link so I can upgrade my account since I have almost reached the maximum on my account. I found the informaiton on pricing, etc. but no link to purchase the upgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone had any success in tracing ancestors of George Hiscock born 1758 Sonning Berkshire. My sispicions fall on a daniel Hiscock of All Cannings Wiltshire who, in my opinion coluld have moved to Sonning about the date of George's birth.
He had a son named George who was christened in All cannings some two years after ny recorded birth date of George of Sonning. I have noted that this practice of christening some few years after the birth and that christening being in the home town of the couple's parents was not uncommon about that time.
Unfortunately any move from Wiltshire woulkd have teken place prior to any census as these only began in 1830. Therefore documentary evidence of such an occurrence probably would not exist.
