I created a website 4 years ago, which I last visited 3 years ago. Now it gives my name as the webmaster and at the same time it says I'm not a member, so I can't edit it. I'm also a member of another website, which I can visit and use properly, using the same email address and name.
Please help! How do I search my document or get a list of mistakes like the child is older than the parent? My document is very big and I am concerned that my dates are not all correct. Thanks for your help!
I am new to My Heritage and thought that I would create two Projects, one for my Father's branch of the family and a separate one for my Mother's branch. I now realise that this is not the best way to move forward and would now like to merge them. At this stage there will only be two duplicates which will be easy to deal with.
I have tried simply importing one project to the other but this seems to just create a new project.
I saw on the Forum a similar question and the response was to firstly to Export the file to GEDCOM and then import it from this.
Hi - considering to buy into the data set subscription to view scanned documents such as birth certs etc. Before I take the plunge, can someone tell me what I can do with these records - i.e. can I download them to PC or are they view only? Thanks
I would think you would have to start at the Youngest of the children and edit the parents to satisfy the new prioity. Then delete the spouse - you would systematically have to delete his/her parents and siblings one by one - to maintain the integrity of the children at the bottom of the line.
My best advice is to make more than one back up BEFORE you do any deleting and save you work regularly as you proceed- thus you might stave off errors that were unintentional.
I think it will be slow and dedious but will work if you concentrate.
I dont thisnk there is a mass branch deltion option (pity) - so take care and good luck.
My name is Shlomi and I work for the MyHeritage Support team - responsible for the technical investigation department.
We have been investigating this issue and so far our findings seem to prove that this issue was caused by an update of the Microsoft Internet Explorer (KB2987107), which was released on October 14th.
The notes section in the Family Tree Builder is using internal Operating System functions - they are related to the Internet Explorer. We believe that the latest update from Microsoft was causing that issue.
A reinstall of the Family Tree Builder should solve the problem, so that the notes will be displayed as before.
I have been doing research and adding people to my family tree. But I cannot fathom out why people want to add duplicates of several people in one tree. Perhaps they are not sure of their facts so add doubles and it takes quite a bit of work to realise thats happening and then you have double up's.
