i am very new to this and was trying to create a tree as a present for my grannies 90th birthday! i have discovered someone else with an exact match to my tree, is it possible to copy the details of their tree to mine?
I have Family Tree Builder, I have 85 families on it, but when I try to upload it to the web or publish it it only takes my pictures. It does not bring any of my names and their relationships over. It is only showing me, my ex-spouce, my former spouce and our children showing only 5 family members.
How can I stop having emails forwarded to my home email account.
I have a deleted family member still annoying myself and others thru the My Heritage site. Is there anyway I can prevent him from using the emails on this site.
Although you cannot block a member from your inbox, you can change the settings so that you no longer recieve mails to your email whenever you get a message in your inbox.
You can do this by going into your inbox, and from there, click on 'settings'. You can then uncheck the option to receive email alerts.
I have a member on my site that has recently changed thier email address and that is why they are not getting the invites, how do i change my members email address so i can get them the invites?
I've made some changes in Myheritage. When I wanted to publish my heritage I get the information that I can not make contact with Myheritage to publish. My firewall is not the reason that I can not have contact with Myheritage. And I have contact with the Internet.
Although you say that it is not a firewall issue, could you nonetheless please check whether you have any network security or communications software running on your computer, or on the network which your computer is a part of? This may include firewalls, proxy servers and/or routers. The presence of such software or hardware may cause problems communicating with MyHeritage unless they are properly configured.
The program created an album on its own called "recent photos". These photos are already in my other albums and its confusing to have them mixed up. How can I delete the album but leave the photos in the other albums?
I've invited my mom to my family site, but her name in English appears as my dad's name, however her name in Hebrew is the correct name.
I've tried removing and re-inviting her but it still stays the same.
My details and family tree info are all correct. However on my home page, when I click on my name, it appears that my husband I and I have merged into one. All my relatives are listed as being my in-laws and my husbands family are all listed as blood relatives to me. My parents-in-law are now my parents! (which makes me and my husband brother and sister!!!) and my birthday is his day and month but my year. Arghh!!
HI, I WAS WONDERING HOW I COULD GET A LISTING OF JUST THE CEMETERYS. SO WHEN I GO TO LOOK FOR THEM, I HAVE A COPY OF THE CEMETERYS AND WHO IS BURIED THERE. MY BOOK REPORT LISTS THEM ALL MIXED UP. I KNOW I COULD WRITE THEM ALL DOWN, BUT I LOVE THIS SITE. MAKE IT EASY ON ME. THANKS
How do I remove websites I do not wish to use anymore?
I can't find the option anywhere and have not recieved a reaction to any of the emails I have sent so far. How is it possible that I, as websmaster and creator of these pages, do not have the possibility to remove them if I wish to do so?!
Thanks for your reply! I recieved an e-mail yesterday telling me the websites have been deleted, so the problem has been solved. (A delete-website-option for the webmaster would be a great additional feature for future editions though.)
I will continue using my my one and only 'proper' website with even more pleasure now! :)
Actuly that option has been addressed you can find it only one way. It took me quit a while to find it.
From the home page select the (family Tree) tab. when it comes up you will see 2 menu lines 1 with all the tabs and right under it the 2nd menu line. look at the right side of it and select (Manage Trees) select that and when that page comes up you will see a box listing your (Trees) and a (Delete) option on the far right.
