I have started to play with both the web version and the PC version. When I create the site for real, does it matter which one I use to create the first copy???
Is there a way to change the privacy settings so that all information about a person, including their first name and photo appear to anyone who accesses the family tree page?
I'm actually using this family tree for a story I'm working on and not for a real family, so privacy isn't an issue.
I would like all the people who read my story to be able to see the full family tree without me having to add them as a member.
I am the admin for my site and was searching and am coming up empty. I have a few people that add photo's, data etc. to the tree and was wondering how I can export these to my computer (C:\mypictures).
I've imported my data through GEDCOM from Ultimate Family Tree. Could this be the reason that the reports I generate do not list members of a family sorted by birth date. The order appears to have no logical explanation.
How could I make the reports to be sorted chronologically?
I'm having the same experience. Mine are in reverse order. When I uploaded them to GenCircles it lists them that way there too. (although in the program on my computer they seem to be in the correct order)

Thanks for writing. I am sorry you are having trouble.
The reason the grey "unknown" shows up when you try to delete someone has to do with the way family trees are built and how the family tree program at MyHeritage works.
In standard family tree logic there must always be a man-woman pair whenever a child exists in the tree.
In order to comply with those standards, the family tree program at MyHeritage also requires a man-woman pair in order for a child to exist in the tree.
This means that anytime there is a child attached to two persons in the tree, and you try to delete one of those parents, the program is forced to keep a "person" in that place. Thus, our lovely unknown.
We are currently working on a better solution to this problem.
In the meantime, your best workaround is to make sure that there are no children attached to a person that you would like to delete.
I understand if this is frustrating for you because, for example, there may be persons "high up" in the tree that you need to delete and it would mean deleting a lot of children in order to get to him/her. The best thing to do is EDIT the information on that person if you can rather than trying to delete him/her altogether.
If you have further questions, please let me know.
I cannot login using Firefox. With Iexplorer it is no problem, but this is not my default browser. The problem started after and updating Firefox and installing SP3 for Vista.
