I too am having trouble “Syncing“ my FTB data to the online tree. I habve been trying for 3 days now. The Sync progress always seems to freeze at 96%. So I hav not been able to update my online tree. I hav even left the program running overnight. Not impressed with MyHeritage any more. I am looking for a new program.
I just checked my winxp virtual box version of MH and it is 7.0 build 7121 my sync never works, has never worked right out of the box. I've resorted to doing all my work on the website instead of in my virtual box running winxp. Base OS is Linux, but it shouldn't make any difference. A database sync is a database synce the underlying os should be irrelevant.
Thank you for writing us in the forums, however if you have a specific sync problems we would be happy if you could write our support team. Details such as a screenshot of what error appears before you would help us identify the problem.
I've sent you a private email in order to collect information about your problem.
Tried it in FTB v6; Add Person, Unrelated, John Doe, born 1900 died 2013. I got a warning, John Thomas Doe (damned Autocomplete!), (1900-2013) was rather old at death (age 113). Are you sure you want to continue? I clicked on Yes and the entry was made as normal. So there should be no problem. Good luck.
............... over the MH support team. Today I got an e-mail from "Marianne, senior support team member at MyHeritage". It was a VERY positive and friendly mail and she is going to call me in the beginning of next week, witch I really look forward to. I can also verify that I have been generously compensated for all the trouble I have had for the past 7 months. This really gives me the faith back for MH.
I have been around computers since late 70:ies also as an amateur programmer mostly working with databases (FoxBase, DBase and Access) so maybe even an oldie like me can give MH some hints.
Once again, THANK you Marianne, not to mention Daniel who has suffered from my mails for the past 1 1/2 years.
Hi I think what I've done is sync my laptop with the site which was in the wrong direction and because of that I've lost a lot of work on my family. Is there anyway of restoring the tree to immediately before the last sync ?
