Just a note for you: I was pretty sure that I deleted all the child objects associated with that particular branch of the tree. However, since the delete function did not work, I guess I missed some (??).
I've made a few edits to incorrect entires in my FTB and SAVED them as well as trying to PUBLISH them but when I go to the site the changes haven't been recognised? Can anyone assist? Thanks
Your tree was last published on Aug 27 2009. Please make sure you publish, and that the publishing is successful. Let us know if the problem persists after you publish.
m not sure if I know what you mean. I have used the PUBLISH button as recently as today and it has not incorporated the editing I have done in the FTB program when I visit the website. I have also tired the "publish now" button on the toolbar as well as "save". Neither option has worked. Is there something I am not doing right. I can't understand why the last "publish" is showing up so long ago when I have been consistently doing it over recent times. Thanks
I'm born on march,23.1988 and i can't put my birthday to the family tree. It works with other dates, but not with my exact birthday... whenever i put 1988 and march the year schwitches to 200. Can you haelp ma please? =)
I have a person that is matched 999 times to other trees. Many of them (even with 60-75% match) have nothing in common (not the name, maybe 200 years apart, etc. etc)
What happened and how can I mark all of them false in one go instead of having to reject all of them using many days?
At present Family Tree Builder only allows rejecting or confirming a single match at a time. Doing this on group of matches is a good idea and we will consider it for our future versions. Thanks for this feedback.
(As you can see for some reason you answer was listed as written by me?)
I love the function of SmarMatch. It is really cool. But to match a person where the only matching info is gender (the fact that the two persons are female) should not score enough to be considered a match IMHO. Though you might be right that it is sometimes (in my example) also a partial name match.
The best thing would be to try to adjust the engine to consider these cases and just being female and having a name that to some extend is similar to another person should not be listed as a match I think. Many have several hundreds of years difference, location difference, spouse difference, number of brothers/sisters difference.
Another idea would be to have a setting to only have matches above a certain % show and mailed to you. To have to go through 1000 matches is time consuming.
The funny thing is that it is quite possible to mark a person as "partner", but in the statistics, for one thing, he/she still turns up as husband/wife! Guess this program is intended for people with less free outlook on the subject of marriage ...
Hi,
Currently, we don't support these kind of relationships.
Nonetheless, we are working on an exciting new version of the online tree that will allow you to add / show partners and other complex relationships.
I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you,
Naty / MyHeritage Support Team
I have not got access to my old email and I forgot the password. I need to know how I can regain acess to my myheritage account since the password can't be e-mailed to me.
Hello Esther! My sister has the same problem, she does not have access to her old email. Is there any chance she can regain access to the website? Thank you!
For over a year MyHeritage worked fine. Since I re-installed it after it could not find my removable hard drive, it's doing weird stuff.
When I go into a name, it looks ok, when I right click, it says there are 40 siblings 3 spouses and 19 children. Even though there are the correct number when you look at them saved.
Another thing that happened. A female spouse ended up next to another female. I didn't put it there. I just wonder what other stuff is jumbled up now. Regards Jean
