To remove the toolbar from your computer, please go to Control Panel > Add remove programs, and there you will see the option to remove the family toolbar.
To remove the MyHeritage.com search page from your internet browser, please change the home page address in your internet browser options.
In order to remove theFamily Toolbar right-click on an empty space in the Menu Bar (where it says “File, Edit, etc.). In the menu that opens, click on Family Toolbar to deselect and it will disappear.
I recently added a few more family members to my tree but am having trouble seeing the full names when creating charts or reports. A few of the names I entered are seen in full (first and last names) but others just have the last name showing. I have tried deleting the person completely then entering the info again and again but I can't seem to get it to work.... Any suggestions? Starting to get frustrated!!
Thank you for responding! I was trying to create descendant charts and reports for Joseph Ovid Henry, my father-in-law. He fathered a son named Gregory Colin Henry. He is married to Hattie Juanita (?unknown maiden name) and they have 2 sons, named Nicholas and Donovan. When the charts and reports are created, Gregory Colin Henry's name only appears as ? Henry. The 2 sons also appear as ? Henry. I made sure that the privacy box was not checked off. When using the FTB program, and directly looking at Gregory's info, all info appears correct. Not sure what to do....

I sent you a thank you note earlier when I thought that all of my problems had been solved. I was able to correct the names on the FTB program but once I got everything corrected, saved and tried to publish it on the My Heritage website, I still get alot of unknown names popping up. Shelley Bart-Mars is one name that is correct in the FTB program but once I saved and publish to the website, her family's info is blank...Any suggestions? I will send you a print screen shot to see if that helps...
I need help, I downloaded the toolbar like 4 or 5 times and it's still not showing up. I do have the My Heritage google page that I've seen mentioned in other posts.....but NO toolbar. It's really frustrating! Where's it at? I downloaded it, but it's M.I.A
So I was using the (beautiful) online application at first, but then I wanted to add some divorces into the family trees.
So I downloaded the application and added the divorces through the application and then hit publish.
Then I went back to the online version and looked at the family tree and some of the changes I made didn't take.
First of all my mother (parents are divorced) still has my father's surname even though I stated they were divorced. I have no idea how to change this? How do I remove my father's surname from my mother's identity? Her maiden name is stated.
My father is also remarried, to make it doubly awkward looking at the tree - I would think my father is currently married to them both.
But, in the online version it DOES say that my parents are divorced.
(attached picture) I used Red highlighting for my father's last name, blue for my mothers.
So my question is, how do I fix my mother's display name?
I have to say, I think the problem is that the online tree isn't interpreting the file that the application publishes correctly. (with all the divorces in the family)
I hope there will be a sync feature included in future versions of the application,it would be great if it were a bit easier to navigate and view the tree as well.
From a permissions point of view, since I added people shouldn't I be able to make more changes to their information? Is it strictly a limitation of the online version versus the builder application?
