Hi, I dont know the exact answer to your question although I can answer from my experience.
My brother has stopped his subscription and not renewed, I am a member of his site and I cannot do anything on the site, but I have been to sites that have large trees that are accessable.
You ask about paying the upgrade price for 5 years for my site is £477.00£238.50 (only £3.98 per month
I believe that £3.98 a month is not a bad deal if you consider how much a simple virus subscription for the computer cost per year.
I have typed so much into this program about each of my family members, their occupations, religion, hobbies, places they have lived, misc. I was really excited to be able to print out books for my family.
When I print the family book, everything I have written about the person is not there. Sometimes, part of it is there. Is there an option to be able to print everything that you have inputed about each family member.
I really need to know this before I continue entering information.
Thank you for your time. I can give you two specific situations, although there are many.
1. Steve Preston Perepelycia (page 8 of my last family book)
Military Service, Misc, Hobbis, and Name Change are not printed.
2. Steve's father, Onofre (page 11)
Name Change is not printed
I have so much more information to add to this tree and am excited to print the book for my family. I do hope that it is something that can be corrected. In other circumstances there was only a portion of the information entered that actually printed in the book.
When I generate an allinone tree to pdf some of the relatives arn't positioned in the right place and they run off on a branch that almost stretches the whole width of the tree. How do I fix this?
If you go to "charts" "options" and remove the check sign from the "arrange boxes closely to save pages", it will avoid the problem you are talking about, although the whole tree will take more space.
somehow I changed to a 256 bit color resolution to view my family tree and now I can't read or see the photos...I need to change the setting and don't know how.
I love the Family Book. I can't get all of the information that I have inputed to go to the pdf book. Specifically, hobbies, military, misc, antidotes. Also it does not take all that I write in the notes sections, it cuts off the sentences.
For some reason every user in MH has 2 profile pages: the http://www.myheritage.com/member-.... which is the login profile that can be changed by the that user only & the http://www.myheritage.com/person-.... the profile which is connected to the actual family tree & details there can be edited by anyone.
The question is why can't we use just one profile page with an the "associate with family tree" option & that's it? Having more than one user confuses the users & tree managers. Seems that the http://www.myheritage.com/member-... profiles aren't useful in any way.
An example of an problem I'm having: say your name is "Jane Austin" in real life but the http://www.myheritage.com/member-... profile says your name is "J A" because those were the details put in when someone invited Jane Austin. However, if Jane won't login to that exact profile page to change her name, it will always stay "J A" in the Site Members page (http://www.myheritage.com/site-members...)
Is there any way to fix that or any way to give site managers to option to edit these features?
Is there a plan to combine these two profiles into one sometime?
In your case, you can't edit the member's name because she has memberships in several family sites. The minute a person has several site memberships only the member herself can change the name on her account.
If she was a member of your site only, you would indeed be able to change her name as long as you were logged in as Site Manager of your site.
Your site is fantastic, I fall in love with it under minutes. After I built up the basics and learn how it works I'm planning to buy subscription too, but I have one big problem, that have to be solved before.Otherwise, I cannot utilize the possibilities in this fantastic service.
Its nice that MyHeritage provides a Hungarian version, so you surely know, that in Hungary - like Japan & China - people use their last names first, and first names last. Please inform me how can I change order, by swapping the first name and last name. Without this, my whole family tree is messed up.
I really searched everywhere on the site but couldnt find anything, only this answer:
A családnevek és keresztnevek sorrendjét jelenleg SAJNOS nem lehet beállítani. Ez régebben lehetséges volt, a családfa-nézeten belül, fönt a 'csavarkulcs' alatt (a link, amelyet a fórumban találtál, több mint kétéves!!), de ez a lehetőség az egyéb fejlesztések során kiesett. Eddig még nem tettem szóvá, türelmesen vártam, hátha történik valami.
Remélem, a Team majd ad választ.
This option does not exist any longer, unfortunately. There were several variants! Now, there is only one: First name (christian name), surname (family name).
In case of a totally Hungarian family trees it is very disappointing, indeed.
I have not complained yet, as the persons in our tree are not only Hungarians but a considerable part is Austrian/German and American - thus you cannot be fair with everybody.
Anyhow, I, too, hope for an answer from the Support Team, when this option will be available.

Good work for everybody!
Dear Panka!
Please forgive me for writing only in english.
I personally can't really understand the action of abandoning such a feature in the past as variability of the names order.
As I already stated it's the same order not just in Hungarian, but: Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese names too. These nations combined gives almost half of earth's population - so it's definitely a considerable market. All right Hungary is just a small fish, swimming by the chinese whale in this picture, but still the fact is true. ;)
Also reflecting to your interesting point: an individual, or rather a groupping setting would be the real BASIC solution - where you can easily choose which names to reverse order - because for example my family is a mixed one too, Hungarians, Austrians, Germans, etc.
I write basic, because there are such naming conventions as the russian or arabic, or spanish, where you vary 3 or more names originating from different sources.
I also hope the crew answers soon, because these handicaps ruins the otherwise perfect experience..
