I had a play with the tool bar; maybe what you found was under Charts, and was called Close Family Chart. Not the one I was talking about (which just shows arrows from one person to the next, not all the family) but fairly similar. Geoff
As a Premium Plus member I believe I was able to research a name And shown all , which up to a day or two ago I had ,now when I try to research I get limited info , but for another fee I can get get the additional info. Why has this suddenly changed. Must I now take out a subscription fee?
...you took my money for the premium package and you didn't deliver....I want my money back
That's what happened to me.....I cant access any information when I try to do a search......the only response I got to my complaint was that I had Smart Matches....well, that was there before I paid for Premium.....when I asked for money back I was told that I still had to pay for year even though I can't access any information...the only thing they would do was cancel re-occurring payments from my account each year....what a RIP-OFF!
What is free, though, is access to free services such as Find a Grave that you could search yourself. Any attempt to use that search engine for census data etc. used to go to a splash page saying you need to purchase a data plan (I have a data plan and can no longer get to that page).
That subscriptions page makes no mention of the Data plans, and I've seen posts in the forum of people who bought a Premium package thinking they were getting a data plan. Perhaps that has happened to you?
Where is the information about data plans? Good question. I googled "myheritage data plans" and it took a few minutes of searching the MH Help section before I found this page.
There is also some confusing stuff about Data Credits that seems to have disappeared. Perhaps MH is working to simplify and streamline their offerings, as many users have requested.
Ellen, please continue to ask for help at email@example.com. IMO there should be another contact where you can go to deal with billing issues, but for now the only one I know of is the technical support team. It may take them several days to respond, but they will work to help you out.
I will also mention that I included links to many pages I reference, but the links seem to disappear. Not sure if that's a glitch in the forum or if they are deliberately stripped out.
I finally received a return call from MYHERITAGE ...it seems the only benefit from upgrading to Premium is the storage is increased ...if I needed to use the search engine I had to pay another amount of money (approx.. $45.00)....I paid that and then entered a name to research....was told I had to pay another amount of money to access that....altogether a very unsatisfactory site. When I sat down and thought about it all I realized that I never did get any information from this site....sometimes they did regurgitate information I had already given them. Well, lesson learned!!

Good to hear that you did hear in the end. Sorry to hear that you haven't found much information.
Yes, SuperSearch and Record Detective often return links to my own site, and to sites that have clearly copied their information for mine. I've mentioned to Support that this isn't terribly helpful and suggested that there needs to be block on returning my own data as well as a way to exclude specific sites or information from the search, along the lines of ancestry.com's "Ignore" function.
I just received a notice from 23andMe of a DNA matched relative, whom they say I might "add to my family tree". Is the 23ndMe company known to MyHeritage or vice-versa? How do I (we) use DNA matching in my (our) tree building?
DNA testing offers exciting possibilities in genealogy; just yesterday, I read a report from a distant relative on the results of testing in his family. As more people get involved, the results will become more meaningful. The National Geographic project claims to have 2 million participants, for example. MH has partnered with Family Tree DNA to offer testing services.
In MH 7.x, click any individual, select the More tab at the far right, then click DNA Testing. This will bring you to a dialog with a large black box in the middle. Click that box to open a very pretty list of DNA companies recognized (at present) by My Heritage. I'm afraid that 23andMe wasn't in the list when I checked it just now.
For a detailed answer on this, I suggest you contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your specific question.
In the subject page, can I, with one keystroke, replace my tree's data with the whole information from the other tree's entry? I have numerous persons in my tree for which I have little more than name and approximate dates.
In the family site online, there is no one button to merge all the information from one individual to the other. However, you can quite quickly press the arrows in order to copy the information found on the match to the individual.
In the family tree builder, there is the Automatic Merge function which allows the copy. However, please note that it will copy all of the information from the other individual which means that you could mistakingly copy information that you wouldn't of liked.
On my computer is OS Windows XP Profesional SP3. I download Family Tree Builder 7.0 and install it. After click on buton Register Now computer freeze and help only hard restart. It happened always in start this program. Uninstalling this program is not successful!
I see you are using an older version of the Family Tree Builder software 7.0 - I would recommend to install the newest update we just released, it includes a lot of bug fixes. Please close the software Family Tree Builder and then click on this link. Please choose the "free download" button and a file will be downloaded. Please double click on the file and follow the installation instructions.
To arrange children in the family tree by date of birth, find the family in which the order is wrong. Right click on the family box (the grey box between parents and children) and click on Children > Manage children.
Then click on the little green icon in the bottom right of the window.
That will arrange the children by order of birth.
If you have further questions please contact our Support Team directly and they will be more than happy to help you.
This function, to my chagrin, has NEVER worked with either children or spouses. It appears to work in FTB, but the re-arrangement does NOT translate to the on-line tree and never has. The only way is to put exact dates for the events and make a note that the dates are estimated based on what you know about the order from other information. I and several other users have complained bitterly about this several times to no avail.
I do not know if this has been fixed in FTB7, because I refuse to switch from FTB6 until I am comfortable that FTB7 is at least as good as FTB6.
