Thank you so much for explaining it to me. It all makes sense now. Eric, your family term table made a crystal understanding of the definition. I just wish Myheritage.com could add that term table in the book because not everyone has the knowledge to understand that term. My family already are asking questions as in " How come they are removed twice or 3 times" and it's hilarious now that I understand why. Ingrid, you're right. I shouldn't remove it. Best is I educate my family in understanding it terms. Thank you both so so much and god bless you both as always.
If you have a site with a tree that you have created in Family Tree Builder and published to the site, you cannot make changes in this tree online.
When you create a family tree in Family Tree Builder and publish it to your family site, you CANNOT edit the tree online. If you built your tree in Family Tree Builder, each time you would like to make changes to your tree online, edit your tree in Family Tree Builder and then re-publish your family tree to your family site. This will update the previously published tree (with the same name) on your site.
As far as I know, the only thing you can do is to disable the emails for everyone or delete him as a member. Seems strange that he isn't willing to to do it himself, though. To be honest, it doesn't sound like he is very interested in being a member. He can't even view the tree if he isn't logged in, and if he is logged in, he might as well change his settings.
Eric is right. I had one member who wrote to me to delete him from the family. :S I wish I could but I would have to turn his blood blue to do that. :) Anyway, Just delete the guy in the member list and remove him. The tree still remains the same even though you deleted him as the member.
I have been unable to change the picture of the entry page to my family website. I have made a numerous attempt to replace the picture without any success. I think it is probably because MyHeritage has been upgraded and some old files weren't included in the upgrade. My picture is stuck. Please see my link.
Hi all, I am nearly finished our family tree, and I have a family member in the USA, so I would like to get it printed and sent straight to her. Can anybody tell me how to do this? It doesn't give me an option of USA on the drop down menu of where you are. Would I have to print it here and then post it myself or is there a way around this?
I successfully run FTB on a Macintosh computer via Parallels and Windows. Have a look at your Parallels settings then if necessary, suggest you save your data then uninstall the programme (from Windows) Then download via the windows interface using Internet explorer then reinstall.
It's taken me a while to fine tune Parallels to get Mac OS and Windows to run seamlesly
Our Family Tree Builder software doesn't have a Mac version yet.
Please note, that there is still no exact date for release of such version, however we've received many requests for this, so producing a Mac version is definitely in our plans. In the meantime, you can wait until we have a Mac version, or continue to grow your tree online.
A tree can be built online on MyHeritage.com, using a Mac. If you have a tree already and it has been published into your own family site on MyHeritage.com, we can, at your request, flip a switch so you'll be able to continue editing your tree online on your Mac, with a browser.
Please let me know if you'd like that. You can also import an existing tree into MyHeritage.com via import GEDCOM, and then continue editing it online on the Mac.
Please let us know id you will any further assistance.
Hi ya'll. I have the same problem listed earlier, but the thread didn't answer it. I added a 249th member, but the site added their parents as well, giving me 251 family members, and am now unable to access information or update any profiles. Is there any way to fix this without forking over the $100 dollars? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
