If you would like to delete a family site, write to support@myheritage.com.
The family site link MUST be included in the email. The link is the URL or the website address of your site. It looks something like this: lastname.myheritage.com
Please do not send the title of the site as there may be many sites with the same name. We will not be able to delete your site with the title or site name.
As you all have noticed, we recently made some changes to family sites on MyHeritage.
The new format is called the Newsfeed. The Newsfeed is designed to show you and your members the latest activity on your site. You can also find out what is happening on other sites you are a member of.
If someone added a person to the family tree or edited details, it will show up in the Newsfeed.
If someone added photos, it will show up in the Newsfeed.
If someone requests to become a member of your site, it will show up in the Newsfeed.
The Newsfeed will help you see what’s going on in your family site. It also helps new members get an idea where to go in the site – new photos added invite clicks to the Albums page, new News items listed invite people to read the articles you post, when you “say something” it invites others to reply, which in turn becomes an interesting record of your family’s interaction.
We know that many of you do not necessarily like the way the site looks right now.
We already understand that functions such as the Slide Show and News articles are highly requested for return. We have brought back Slide Show as well as the Visitor Counter and News articles will be back soon. Your welcome messages will also return, we are currently working on this.
If you have other things you'd like to tell me, I am listening. It is very important to us to hear what you have to say and are definitely influenced by the word of our users. The best thing you can do to help us is to make your feedback clear, detailed and as orderly as possible.
I hope that you will come to see the value of the Newsfeed and other changes we make to MyHeritage.com. The improvements we make are always intended to make your experience a better one.
Your support and willingness to provide feedback is a key factor in making MyHeritage a great place for families to be.
I appreciate the return of the diaporama and the meter of visit….But, the current colors are not beautiful!!!!I always await the return of the news.
If I include/understand well, I do not have a choice?
I am obliged to accept the Newsweek section on my site?
Then, explain how to make me to remove the old messages and photographs?
I am of agreement with the other users on the modifications desired on the first page:
The welcome message in top of the page with including changing type size, color, adds photo, etc.
The direct access with the list of the members.
Finally I hope that you also work on synchronization between tree ftp and the tree WEB.
I know that you have much of works and customers, but I call you that I paid my subscription and for several day I have not used my site to communicate with my family.
It is very well to make experiments to improve the site, so in the future you want to make other updates - if you like it inform your front customers, and ask their agreements before the publication.
How can I my upgrad to site 3 to site 1 and the remove process does not so please tell me how to remove duplcation. The duplation come when I up load my file to the internet. Please help me.
One thing that has been added is the "say something" bit on the front page. I'd like to know how to delete something already said.
Also, I'd like to be able to see easily the list of people who are members of my site. There used to be a place where it listed the number of people. If you clicked there it opened a page with the list and when they each had visited last. As the webmaster, I'd like that info relatively handy.
Also, we used to be able to have the calendar on a different page from the front page. I'd like that option back.
The welcome should be at the top of the opening page. The webmaster should be able to edit this welcome including changing type size, color, add photo, etc.
this bug appears when you want to manually attach an account to a tree:
- if you change the sort criteria (for example birthdate) and then you click on [2] in order to navigate to the 2nd page you get the 2nd page for the name criteria (in fact your criteria is lost)
