Godfrey Herzog was born in Bern, Switzerland, December 23rd 1863.
He came to the United States with his parents in the year 1878 and resided first in Athens, Ohio.
In the year 1880 the family removed to Logan where Godfrey died Friday morning May 12th,1893. His illness was protracted through but a few weeks, but from the first until death, very severe. The aged parents have our sympathy in their loss.
While to some extent able to contribute to their support by his work, they feel not this as much as they feel the breaking of the ties by which they were bound to him as parents, and he to them, as son.
At the time of his death he was aged 29 years, 4 months and 19 days. His funeral took place Saturday afternoon May 13th from the Presbyterian church.
