Genealogy:The Immigration of the McCuaig Family

The family of Henry McCuaig immigrated to Oro Township from the Isle of Islay, Argyleshire, Scotland in 1857. Henry had 3 sisters; Janet (John Campbell), Flora (Hugh McArthur), Ann (John Gilchrist) and two brothers Duncan and Alexander who remained in Islay.

They settle on the west 1/2 of lot 19 concession 4, Oro.

Henry was 60 years at the time of their immigration
