Welcome
Welcome to our Website!

Puthiyaveettil family traces its origin from Ponnani ,Kerala, INDIA as Karumathil
Puthiyaveettil, which later spread all over North Malabar. An aristrocratic Nair
family with multiple marriage connections with the Royal Families of the
earstwhile Valluvanad area of which the famous ruler of Calicut, the ZAMORIN is
note worthy for its prominence.A family which has produced numerous erudite &
note worthy professionals & scholars in all walks of life , influencing the
happenings on the Indian subcontinent, from the 18th century onwards. The
puthiyaveettil nomenclature as it stands was modified at Panniyankara, Calicut
in the late 19th Century by dropping the prefix Karumathil.
We have taken care to compile this data covering 6 generations with as much
accuracy possible with available data, the credit for which goes to
Puthiyaveettil Vinod Menon & Puthiyaveettil Premi Mohan. However should any of
you could locate any errors , we request you to correct us with the authentic
information, to enable us to refine the accuracy of the data here for the
benifit of all.The last name depicting the family name missing in many here has
been filled up with Menon. If you can add the correct tharavad name, it would
help us to consolidate the families more realistically.
A special request to the younger generation to join here and carry forward the
good work done, by filling up the gaps & carry forward the current status for
centuries to come, for the records of the future generations. Should you have
any doubt or information, please feel free to either contact the webmaster or
convey it through the Guest book. Your whole hearted co-operation is solicited ,
by way of your contributions, however miniscule it may be, for making this site
worthy of its name. Also request for sponsors to meet the annual fee for
upgrading this site as it expands.

ICICI ATM / Debit cards can be used at SBI ATMs to withdraw money and most shocking thing is, it doesnot ask for your PIN**. Even if it asks for pin and if u cancel it, it goes on to the next screen and enables you to withdraw cash. This security vulnerability was shown live on India TV newschannel at SBI ATM in Hyderabad . So please take utmost care of your ICICI ATM / Debit cards to avoid any such misuse. Posted by: Puthalath on Jan 30 2008 23:07

Dear Members,

I have sponsored this site for two years, thereby enhancing the number of members permitted from 15 to 100. I request active members to actively participate by assisting me to incorporate any corrections for any technical errors which could have crept in inadvertently & make any new additions which has been overlooked . I request you to download this tree in the GEDCOM format into the builder which you can download to your machine from the net & then do all necessary corrections , additions of data & pictures & then upload the same back to the main site, thereby keeping the site up to date for all concerned. Before doing that please ensure that you get the status of Administrator from me, to effect the changes. I have already upgraded many potential active members to Administrator status, to help you contribute to make this site as reliable & authentic as possible.I request every member to involve the younger generation members to be more active & carry forward the good work done by updating new births & deaths to become a useful reference for generations to come. I also expect members who can afford to bear the costs of future upgradation & annual rental already committed .

Since this site software is designed for the patriachel system, members are cautioned while making any new entry to ensure that they enter the family (tharavad) name in last name column to properly reflect the matriachel system we Nairs follow.

Please feel free to get in touch with me for any clarification on any matter with this family tree.

With best wishes & warm regards,

Anilkumar Nair.P.
