My name is Kevin Bailey
and I started this site on December 9th, 2009. I initially started this site in hopes of having my dad help. He had started a family tree, but lost it due to computer problems.
December of 2010 I lost my dad. I'll continue this site in his memory. As I've worked on this, I've found that there is a lot that I didn't know. I've come more and more to realize that the most important history is one's own history. It goes without saying that names like Edison and Lincoln are major parts of history, but in the big picture, Thomas Edison's and Abraham Lincoln's parents and grand parents served a major roll as well. Without them what would the history of the lightbulb and slavery be? I don't expect to ever be part of a history book, but I hope that there might be someone 20, 30 maybe 50 years from now that might wonder what I was like. Thank you for visiting.

Kevin, I enjoyed reading your dad's eulogy written by you. I'm sure he would approve of it. Very well done. I didn't know he was a photographer. We visited your parents when they had just gotten a sterio. He demonstrated it how the sound of an airplane went from one speaker on the left to the one on the right. We were impressed. He was a very nice man. I'm glad I knew him.
