on Nov 25 2007 09:27 | Her Children Shall Call Her Blessed! Mattie Liz Calhoun-Deese-Hicks 1934- Wisdom & Knowledge “He turns rivers into…a wilderness and the water springs into …Dry ground….A fruitful land….into barrenness…for the wickedness of them that dwell therein…He turns…the wilderness into standing water, and dry ground into water springs. My great- grand parents, William Henry Calhoun and his wives, Sally Mae and our step- grand mother, Lizzie raised their children on Hollywood Plantation in Tunica County, Mississippi. Slave owners, The McPeaks, own Hollywood Plantation, since 1841. We were poor in the flesh, but rich in the spirit. In the beginning the word of God was planted in us while others was privileged to have radios and T.V.’s we had “Big Mama”, “Mattie L. Hicks, who drilled the word of God in us daily, our meal ticket, pretty much. I spent half my life rebelling against my greatest inheritance and missing link to my stability of yesterday, today and yet hold true on tomorrow. Understanding, Satan tactics was my biggest accomplishment in life, now I understand he is trying to kill not only me, but also the generations to come, because of the seed that was planted in us, as the rivers of water, we shall not be moved. Now I understand my purpose and God’s will on my life. To heal and delivery women in crisis. True Exodus and education came from learning wisdom and knowledge of Proverbs, in which my mother taught me by living virtuous and righteous, she plant a good seed and bear many fruits. Thank you Mom, I can say that I am now thankful and grateful for the thorns in the flesh, fields of broken dreams, death, divorce, debt, D’m Kids. No More Drama! Satan! We are here to claim our inheritance! | |
