Yesterday we attended the presentation to Matthew of the New Zealand Gallantry Medal for his action in Afghanistan while a member of the NZ Defence Force reconstruction team. Matthew is an Alexander, the grandson of Mary Elizabeth Ball (Alexander).It was a sad but proud moment.
