I knew Mae Brister personally. She and Jim were in our home many times. Jim roped with my father and they came to our practice arena often. They worked for Harry Day on the ranch next to ours in Southeast Arizona. Harry's ranch was mainly in Hildalgo county New Mexico. Mae and Jim lived there.
