Manuel Romero was awarded the prestigious People's Choice Award as most influencial Latino in San Francisco Bay area at a gala event hosted by the Mexican Heritage Plaza in San Jose, California.
Manuel received the most number of votes cast by the public at large. Selection of the awards for each catagory was by counting the votes of the public at large and by the votes as cast by the election committee with the election committee votes having a weight of 70%.
Manuel Romero, the grandson to Melvin Fadness, a Latin Grammy nominee and 19 year old college student is competing with internationally recognized artists as being the most influencial entertaining Latin artist in the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area.
