Welcome
My name is Scott Phillips and I started this site.
This site was created using MyHeritage.com. This is a great system that allows anyone like you and me to create a private site for their family, build their family tree and share family photos. If you have any comments or feedback about this site, please click here to contact me.
Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 297 names in our family site. The earliest event is the birth of Susanna Baumann (born Weiland) (1723). The most recent event is the death of Richard Bernard Phillips (May 8 2013).
The site was last updated on May 15 2013, and it currently has 26 registered member(s). If you wish to become a member too, please click here.   Enjoy!

Important:How to scan a picture...
Posted by: Scott Phillips on Oct 30 2009 20:34

If you have a printer is likely also a scanner/copier as well.

  • Find those old family pics with group shots of dead relatives in them - pics with live folks are ok too
  • Connect your PC to your printer
  • Insert your picture into the scanner (you'll figure it out)
  • Look for a program on your PC called Windows Photo Gallery (or any progam that says "photo") and open the program
  • Once the program has opened select File>Import from Camera or Scanner
  • Some kind of import box will open - make sure your printer is selected
  • Select OK or Import (or whatever the choice is)
  • BEFORE you start to SCAN...
    • make sure you have selected the option for "color" photo if you are scanning a color photo or
    • gray scale for a black and white photo
    • make sure you have selected the option for file type "jpg" or "bmp" will work well
  • Now you can select Scan
  • You will probably be asked to name your picture before it is saved on to your PC (note the file location the picture is saved to so you can find it again)
  • send it to me to publish scottphillips@nc.rr.com
  • you can send me your questions as well

Get scanning!

This Web site:Need your help putting a face to a name...
Posted by: Scott Phillips on Sep 6 2009 13:21

I'm trying to put together this site with your help. I'd like it get at least 1 scanned pic (pdf or jpg) of every deceased relative - to put a face to a name so to speak. Or if you can help with providing any missing information for your immediate family - birth dates/dates folks died. You can send this to me via email at scottphillips@nc.rr.com

Thanks!
