In Horatio Walter LONSDALE's Will, he said - 'To the National Portrait Gallery my oil miniature of James LONSDALE painted by himself................'

Horatio Walter LONSDALE was not the grandson of James LONSDALE!!! (Horatio's grandparents were Gwalter Borranskill LONSDALE and Sophia WALTER. His father was, Horatio Barrow LONSDALE, mother, Mary CHEYN.)
