Hannah Evans (born White), daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Jones) White, was born in Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, was baptized at St. Gabriel's Church, Amity Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, on 5 August 1792, by Rev. Alexander Murray, and again on 2 August 1796 by Rev. John Wade. In Bedford County on 27 September 1814 Hannah White of Huntingdon County and Joseph Evans of Bedford County were married y Rev.Jeremiah Duvall, Methodist minister.(Marriage certificate. Witnesses were: Thomas White, Amos Evans, John Alloway Septimus Horton, Cathy Horton George White Margret Alloway, Henry Horton, Elizabeth White, Abigail Fugard, James Figart, Aroon White, and Rebecca Alloway, all of whom signed the certificate.) Joseph Evans was born at Coalsdale, Bedford Co, Pa on 29 April 1792, son of Amos and Margaret (Evans) Evans, and died at Tatesville, Bedford Co. Hannah died at Tatesville, Bedford Co, on 14 Dec. 1864, and is buried in Evans Cemetry near White Church, Broad Top Township, Bedford County.
