This site was created using MyHeritage.com. This is a great system that allows anyone like you and I to create a site for their family and even publish their family tree on the Internet.

Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 250 names in our family site. The earliest event is the birth of Georgius Steinwand (Apr 9 1699). The most recent event is the death of Peter J Steinwand (Jan 23 2008).

This site is a work in progresses - I have more inormation than what is available here and will attempt to add to the family tree as time permits.  There are still living members of the Steinwand family in Wurttemberg, Germany.  In the United States the Steinwands settled in Ohio and Wisconsin.  My closest relatives currently reside in Florida.  I have published this family tree in the hopes that other more distant members of my family may stumble upon it and enhance it with their own contributions.

I have avoided including names or other personal information of any of my living family members without their permission.

One additional note:  I have included much more information than it evident at first glance.  To find notes and citiations that I have included click on the "family tree" tab and then the"people" tab near the top of the page, then double click on the picture or picture icon for the person of interest (for example, try Ambrose M Steinwand).  A page should then come up with any citations or notes that I have included.
