New Message from Jeff: November 19, 2011

Hello everyone,

I have recently added many new cousins and much new information to the site.  I will be working on obituaries and pictures and a new website as my next projects.

I know many of us have never met and don’t know each other much, but I think it is nice to be able to all meet in one place and learn more about our common family.

Thanks to everyone for all your support!

Any questions, comments, etc. – as always, just ask!

Cousin Jeff

Neue Nachricht von Jeff: 19. November, 2011

Euer,

Jeff

Nową notatkę z Jeff: 19 listopada 2011

Witam wszystkich,

Mam ostatnio wiele nowych kuzynów i wiele nowych informacji do serwisu.

Wszelkie pytania, komentarze, itd. - jak zawsze, po prostu zapytaj!

Kuzyn Jeff

Obituaries:Chance Angel Klonowski
Posted by: Jeff Ausmus on Dec 13 2011 10:31

Chance Angel Klonowski
12-10-2011 - 12-10-2011

Today, we mourn the passing of our little tiny one;
not yet from the womb, you’d only just begun.
So precious, and so small, you’ve gone to see the Son.

You never knew a struggle, or couldn’t find your way;
You never had a trouble, nor a bad day.
You never took a breath and never suffered strife;
But still you were perfect - in every way, a life.

So, we celebrate your being, short though it was,
We’ll laugh and sing, but never the same because,
The loss of you is ever in our heart,
but so is our love, never to depart.

Now, we will cry and our tears will run free,
until we remember your soul will forever be.
Our time with you was short, and very sad are we,
but we hope in the Lord, that one day, each other we will see.

So, Lord, protect this little one and guide him to You;
hold him in Your Hands, so tender and so true.
And to you, little tiny one: now we bid you adieu,
with love always, until again we see you.

Chance leaves to mourn his passing parents Nicholas and Traci Klonowski and sisters Jordyn and Kenadie Klonowski of Point Place, Ohio; grandparents, Conrad and Joan Ausmus of Erie, Candy (Ray) Winland and Ralph (Pam) Klonowski of Point Place; uncles, Jason (Melissa) Ausmus of Monroe and Jeff Ausmus of Erie and aunt, Lisa (Lance) Charter of Erie; great-grandparents Elaine Venier of Toledo, Charlotte Klonowski of Toledo, and Madge Ausmus of Erie, and many other family friends and relatives.

Announcements:Troy Stevenson takes CTP Top Graduate Honors!

Stevenson takes CTP Top Graduate honors
Apr 18, 2011 10:36 AM, By Wendy Leavitt, director of editorial development

CINCINNATI. Troy Stevenson, director of logistics for GreenLine Foods, Inc., was honored yesterday at the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition for graduating at the top of the class of individuals who earned their Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) credentials in 2011.
“The CTP seemed to encompass all my seventeen years in trucking,” he told Fleet Owner. “It really fit well for me.”
Fleet Owner, which sponsors the annual award for the Top Graduate, presented a crystal eagle to Stevenson in recognition of his achievement.
Stevenson joined GreenLine about a year ago. Prior to that, he served as transportation carrier relations leader, North America for Owens Corning. He was also logistics manager, building products North America, at Pilkington.
Forty-nine people were expected on site Sunday to be honored for earning their CTP credentials earlier this year, and most of them made it, too, in spite of flight-delaying weather. Tom Moore of NPTC presented the graduates one-by-one to the meeting attendees. There are about 800 total CTPs now, Moore observed, noting that the test this year was even more rigorous than before due to the switch from multiple-choice to a short-answer format. “It reflects more of what the real world looks like,” he said. “It is a very robust process.”
The CTP program, now 18 years old, was developed by NPTC for private fleet professionals seeking to enhance and polish the skills and expertise they bring to their organizations. According to NPTC president and CEO, Gary Petty, the graduates bring “new, additional talent and resources” to the industry and to NPTC.

Important:Update: May 12th, 2010
Posted by: Jeff Ausmus on May 13 2010 02:39
Hello all, (deutsche Version unten)

Well, I am very happy to announce that our website is now a "Premium Plus" website - for the next 5 years! So, this means that we now have unlimited entries in the family tree, as well as unlimited storage for pictures, etc.

So, please feel free now to add information about the indirect relations (children's spouses families, your spouses families, etc.), if you would like. I have 2 requests, though:

1) Please use full first names (i.e. Richard, rather than Rick; Joseph, rather than Joe, unless those are their full names), full middle names, and maiden names for women.
2) Please, wherever possible, use full dates

My hope is to make this site as accurate as possible, so I think it is best to use full information. But now that we have the unlimited space, I think we should use it!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated - especially to our cousins from afar, in Germany! :)...

Important:Language Problems?
Posted by: Jeff Ausmus on July 31 2009 23:53
If anyone is having trouble with the site coming up in German, when you want English, try clicking the language button in the very bottom right hand corner of the screen, and if it is set to anything other than English, try changing it and see if it stays - hopefully! Several people have written me with problems.... but mine comes up in English, so I don't know what the deal is!

You may have noticed that I haven't done much with the site lately... sorry, I have recently had some problems with anxiety. However, I think that is over now, so I plan to start making some more updates soon.

Thanks!

Important:Email sent to all members on Apr 12, 2009
Posted by: Jeff Ausmus on Apr 12 2009 21:11

Hello everyone,

I am sending this letter to everyone on the family tree website, some are brand new members, and some have been here since we started, but it doesn’t matter; I just want to keep everyone informed and get ideas. Because there are now so many members in Germany
, I am also sending the letter in German.

First of all, I would like to say that I have very much enjoyed the fact that everyone has participated and added many new things! Thanks! I hope you have enjoyed the site so far! If there are any questions or problems, please let me know!

Secondly, I have noticed recently that the size of our tree is growing pretty rapidly... at the moment, we have the premium plan, which lasts until 2014. Before I purchased this plan, I sent out an email, like this one, to all members and asked if anyone wanted to upgrade, and I took donations. I was able to gather $85, and so I purchased that plan. We now have 1,600 people in the tree, and there is 105 MB of storage space used with pictures. I think this is great! Thanks, again! :) However, as webmaster, I also need to keep an eye on the fact that our current plan only allows a certain number of people in the tree, and for storage. With the current plan, we can have 2,500 people on the tree (this is the tree, not members of the site), and 500 MB storage.

The next available upgrade allows unlimited members and storage. However, it is quite a bit more expensive, as well. There are various levels. For five years, $298.50, 2 years, $191.04, and one year $119.40. Unfortunately, according to the site, upgrading would not add additional time to our current plan it would just start over new.

At the rate the site is currently growing, we probably need to upgrade eventually. I have the intention of continuing to research all sides of our family and continue adding information about all that I find. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to maintain the site by myself at the moment, and can only do it with the support of the members of the site.

Please keep in mind that no donation is too small - in fact, we have so many members now that if everyone gave a dollar or two, that would be enough. But please feel no obligation!! Many have already donated – and thank you! – if you care to donate again, that would be great, but it would also be good to get the support of other active members of the site, so we can continue adding things.

We still have quite a bit of space left, so I am sending this email now, while we still have time, so that I can get ideas and thoughts from everyone before we’re out of space. Please let me know what you think – whether it be, “yes, good idea” or “No, I think this is a terrible idea.” I just want to hear what everyone thinks.

Thank you very much, and Happy Easter!
Jeff

-------------------------------------

Jeff
